Wasn't that funny as I suspect most people have done something similar before.

They only have themselves to blame, they ring you when you don't want them to and they don't answer their own phones when you actually have a problem.

I wish that I was that telemarketer: I would have to poked the -off fellow even more. And the best way to handle a telemarketer is the Jerry Seinfeld way.

I am registered with the Telephone Preference Service to stop just such calls. One did phone me the other day and when I mentioned that I was registered with the TPS they actually claimed to be working in conjunction with them. Fooking liars.

Yea but you shouldn't have to sign up to a service to stop people from calling you....It should be the other way round.

When you pick up the phone, let them talk for a minute, then go:

"Excuse me for a second"
*make gunshot sounds*
*Country accent* "Get back in yo cage boy, I fed you last week!"

I did it once, picked up the phone again, and my friend Mr. Telemarketer had run along.

Once this lady wanted to sell me the same internet service I had and I didn't say nothing shown my interest for 7 minuts and then told her to check my name on their database. Guess what she found my name and I already was a client, oh she must had felt stupid.

When I was doing some work exp for 2 weeks at a small company I answered the phone and was asked if the boss man was in.

"Yes this is him speaking"

Him: "Sir am phoning you today to ask about your toner/ink cartridge needs"

I play with him... for about 15 minutes. By this time the boss guy next to me was getting a little annoyed so I told the Indian guy
"Actually, you know what... I don't think we have a printer"

The guy said bye and sounded really angry that I had waste his time. Ahhh the joys of pissing people off.

I did it once to a woman who was trying to sell me double glazing windows and doors. I went through the whole process and agreed on a price. Then she asked me how I'd like to pay for it. I told her I'm not paying for it I live in a council house (I don't really I own my own home :)). She promptly said thanks for you time and hung up. I think she had a bad day that day :D.
