Saw it was my Mum, so thought I better answer. Here's how the convo goes...

Mum - I think im about to make your day...
Me - What you on about, Mum?
Mum - Im just in Tesco now and they have 1 Premium 360 left...
Me - OMG! You must be winding me up?
Mum- Nope, the Womans just putting it in the box for you.
Me - (jumps out of bed(starts dancing round room)). :o OMG, I can't believe this.
Mum - Anyways son, i'll see you tonight when I get home from work.
Me - Thank you sooo much Mum, I love you (Yes, I actaully said that, out of excitment, of course :|)

So, WOOOOOOO, nearly a week after release date, my Mum just happens to be in Tesco and, knowing how much I want one, takes a long shot and ask if they happen to have any left. Even she couldn't beleieve it when they had 1 left.

You have a nice mum, like my friend's mum. If it was my mum, she'd call me, I'd wake up and she'd say "Did you say that you wanted that new xbox?", to which I'd say "Yes"...then she'd say "Well they have one here at that games shop in shoppingtown for $199", to which I would jump in joy and run to the busstop to go buy it. I'd get to the EBGames and see that she was talking about a normal bloody xbox that they released 4 years ago...

See, there's a few problems with this scenario:
1. My mum won't even walk past a games shop and pay attention let alone look inside and check out the prices.

2. My mum wouldn't call me to let me know about it, she would just wait untill the end of the day to tell me as she forgot about it.

3. Since when would a next-gen console that hasn't even been released in Australia yet go for $200?

I bought mine in Tescos too mate. I recommend the wireless pads too. You just need to get some games for it now and then you'll be away. I'll tell you now though you won't tend to sleep as much as you used to.......not for the first couple of days at least!

Well......seeing as I thought I was getting a Core next week...I went on the search for a HD and accessories today.

Went into Game to buy a memory card (so I can play online till I get a HD) and they asked if I already had a 360 as they had a Core in stock!!

It was almost too good to be true and I was tempted to just wait for the one I had on order...but the guarantee of having one right now was too much. So I bought the Core from Game in a bundle....for £420 I got:

Memory Card
Perfect Dark Zero: Limited Edition
Project Gotham Racing 3
Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Kameo
12 month subscription to XboxLive
Project Gotham Racing 2 (for Xbox)
XboxLive Arcade (for Xbox)

I'm gonna place a HD on order and then all I need is the HDTV cable to hook it up to my new Samsung HDTV!!!

Will pick a Wireless pad soon but no rush.

Guys & Gals... this is getting so frustrating for me. Staff member of the Monster and I dont have a 360. I could walk into Game and buy the £400+ pack but thats just stupid, and theres no way I'm buying a core... what a waste of cash.

I'm guessing there is 4 games in the pack which you don't like right? I was looking at the bundles yesterday on GAME's website and they didn't have a bundle which I would have wanted. Also you have to pay around 70 pounds to get the hardrive and it just adds up to equal too much money. Just hang in there, we will all get one eventually!

Mine from Tescos didn't come with any games, so I went down Gamestatino and got CoD2, what a game! Im just taking 5 minutes off it now to come on here :D. The controller sweet (once you finally amange to ge tthe batts in :D), and the remote is pretty nice too :D

Not had any problems with mine yet. Might go get NFS:Most Wanted tomorrrow. But I feel spendin £50 on a game tonight, is well enough for now.

I bid you a good farewell while I go inot hibernation for a few weeks :D
