So Arsene Wenger has been fined £10,000 pounds for his little scuffle with former West Ham manager Alan Pardew. I think thats a steep penalty considering hardly anything happened.
Heres the video of the incident. Skip to 1 minute elapsed to see it.

its not steep enough, anyone in football who gets fined only gets fined £10,000, which is pittance to them, that like 1/4 of what they earn in a week! the FA need to re-evaluate their system.

In my view he should've of been fined a lot more, as was pointed out Football is huge business and this fine is not even a slap on the wrist.
Fair enough he got fined. He's one of the best managers in England though.

What for? Pardew crossed that little box that he's supposed to stay inside of, and crossed into Wenger's box, and then Pardew celebrated in front of Wenger. It's like a criminal breaking into your house, and getting fined for confronting him: absolute nonsense. As an Irish man with an Irish passport, you seem entranced by the politically-correct nonsense of Sky, and that idiot Jamie "Look! Look! Right there!" Redknapp. Watch Dunphy, Giles, Brady and O'Heirly on RTE, my son.

Yep I concur. Arsene Wenger didn't do anything wrong in my opinion I would blame Pardew for rubbing it in if anything. I wouldn't be too happy either if the opposition manager was trying to rub it in my face that they had scored (when in fact Arsenal did dominate that game). I always knew football is a crazy old game but £10,000 for that. I hope it goes to charity instead of the FA.

Why fine anyone?
They are passionate. It's what the sport lives off. Without this stuff Football would be as dull as watching Bowls on Sunday morning, 8.30PM SKy Sports 3.
Err, no thanks.

Well the only reason it looks bad is that this kind of behavior is not allowed and very much frowned upon in the sport, they took the contact out of the professional game for a while and personally it's disappointing from my view.
So if that behavior you expect on the field should be replicated by everyone including managers and the only way you can enforce this is through a fine. A fine based on the amount of profit these clubs get, the repercussions of this behavior and the fine handed out all in comparison is very little.
I personally prefer Contact sports myself such as the playing styles you would see from an Amateur local Sunday League Club, these a far more entertaining that Premiership as to me it reminds me of the way football should be played with a bit of rough and tumble and excitement in the game.
However that isn't the path of which the FA, UEFA or FIFA like taking the game, they seem adamant on a route of basically a contact free game, I may be looking at this too harshly but thats the way I see it.

Come back when you've learnt a bit about the game.

Come back when you've learnt a bit about the game.
Huh? I admit my knowledge may not be as broad as yours, but on paper to a degree it's a contact sport but it doesn't even come close to a "contact" sport compared with others.

It doesn't matter what you compare it with. It is still a contact sport.
You said it wasn't, therefore you was wrong.
End of.

You are entitled to your view all you want.
It's still not going to change my view of the Football at a Professional Level.

Not end of.
Especially "I prefer contact sports myself" - suggesting it isn't a contact Sport.
He also said in another thread a few months back that football was a non-contact sport.
Stop trying to prove me wrong Phatmuther. I am always right.

So he didnt say its not a contact sport then? It doesnt appear he did.
they took the contact out of the professional game
uh huh

So hes saying its not in the professional game, nothing about the whole of football.
Always right? well maybe we should put you on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and see how far you get (Y)
Oh wait, ill come up with a good cocky remark too, um, um, er, I am never wrong. Is that good?

Thornbag you seem to be taking my comments slightly personal, you can't seem to recognise that I may have a different take on Professional Football to you.
This is a forum you can either take my views on board, ignore them or debate them but in the end my comments come down to personal opinion something that I have gained from watching the game and that's my take on it. I am well aware of your take on it and you know mine so was it necessary to go over old ground again.
End of?

I haven't taken anything perosnal.
I just took your opinions and told you what I thought of them.
You are more than welcome to post your opinion, but don't moan when I don't agree on it.

I didn't moan. I complained when you insulted my knowledge.
