Finish the whole single player campaign on realistic difficulty, its also worth mentioning that people have reported that this achievement is bugged. if you load from the last chapter option on the main page sometimes it reverts to normal mode and people have had this happen to them with out relishing. a good way to tell if this has happened is the on realistic while aiming at a bad guy your cross hair will not light up red, but in normal it will soo keep that in mind while your playing it on realistic. i haven't experienced this problem but iim just pointing it out to give fair warning.

kill 150 terrorists with pistol kills, i didnt try for this achievement i earned it after using the pistol and tactical shield in some of the tougher levels in single player, you will get this eventually but quite quickly if using the shield, every terrorist you shoot counts so if you die and are constantly reloading the last checkpoint in then you will get this achievement sooner rather than later.

kill 500 terrorists this inst an achievement you should go out your way to get because if you are doing single player as well as coop story and coop teroist hunt, this achievement will unlock quickly.

SPLIT SCREEN COOP ACHIEVEMENTS

These achievements are glitched.

You have to complete these on Single Player and on your own. If you complete them in Split-Screen you won't get the Achievement for it.

I was going to keep this to myself as I haven't tried it so I don't know if it works, that and sometimes I like to be spiteful

Anyway if you go through all the Terrorist Hunts on Single Player in Realistic you will unlock 3 achievements (all mentioned above plus Tour of Duty).

My only suggestion is Pistol and Shield it will get you far but you need to take your time there's nothing like getting down to 3 more kills and finishing but getting shot in the back for not checking the area first.

this works a treat big d did this no bother and you unlock both from doing it on veteran. ok adding to this now if you havent got the shield, then you haven't picked it up in single player campaign, the first time you come across it is the first level in vegas near the start next to the dead swat guys.

but now I know that the target lights up red on normal mode,

you still get ammo dumps and an extra weapon on realistic, even if its reloaded and reset to normal... odd, I hope they patch it soon, so i can replay it.

I need some help for the Tour of Duty one. My friends and I have been through all of them, some more than once. We did not all survive each one, but someone from our team always completed the mission. Yet we don't have this achievement.

Do we need to all survive in order to get it? Does it void a mission for you if you die but your buddies succeed? Any help you can give is would be appreciated. It's driving us nuts and that's about the only thing we can figure now.

it may be a problem with the achievement then, because if you have been in a team thats completed the missions then that should count i cant see why it wont, and it shouldn't matter what order you do them in either thats strange are you sure you have done everymap

Thanks. There may indeed be a bug with the achievement. I met some others online who agreed we should have already got the achievement, and who suspect it might be a bug.

This brings up an interesting question then: who else has been short-changed on their achievements? I for one have lost 180GS by completing all of Lego Star Wars 2 (100%) and receiving nothing for it. I have also heard of people finishing COD3 on Veteran and not getting that one. Now R6V has buggy achievements?

Does this have to do with the game or with XBL? Is this even a known issue at MS?

Don't know if this has been answered already, but when you're doing Terrorist Hunt in single-player, you can do it with enemy density on Low, yes? Just checking, seeing as I've done the majority of them like this, and I'll be gutted if I need to do them all on Medium or something.

Yea you can do them on any density, it's suggested that you do it on Low especially when you do it on Realistic.

awesome post mate, just to mention , ive heard of the realistic problem, and from what i have heard, it is beacuse the game wants you to play the whole thing in one go if you have a previous checkpoint saved ( i.e. without turning the console off.) but from people ive spoke to, if you simply delete your last checkpoint before starting the game again, it should be fine.

again, im not sure if this info is true, as im no way near skilled enough to even get past the 2nd level on realistic, but thats what ive heard

Finish the whole single player campaign on realistic difficulty, its also worth mentioning that people have reported that this achievement is bugged. if you load from the last chapter option on the main page sometimes it reverts to normal mode and people have had this happen to them with out relishing. a good way to tell if this has happened is the on realistic while aiming at a bad guy your cross hair will not light up red, but in normal it will soo keep that in mind while your playing it on realistic. i haven't experienced this problem but iim just pointing it out to give fair warning.

After completing the story on what I thought was realistic mode and not unlocking the achievement. (FOTHER MUCKERS!)
Is there any way that I can find out at what point the game decided to revert back to normal mode, so that I can just redo the levels it Clucked and not have to start from scratch again just to make sure???
(P.S. If you say No I will have to perform a ritual known throughout the free world as CRYING cos it takes sooo Clucking long!! ARRRRGH)

haha i think you should just have a think back to what parts were harder than others then go to the next part after that and continue on sadly im not aware of a way to find out what parts you have done on what dificulty, i wish all games had the call of duty 2 mission selcter that was great.

CountdownI got my achievement for it but I didn't do it on any ranked matches and it was realistic difficulty. As frustrating as it is when things go wrong you may have to try them all over again. What I did was I wrote down all the levels we completed to help my mate get the achievement and he got it. Good luck!

At the end of each mission you will have the chance to swap your weapons. You need to make sure over the whole game that you use each gadget / granade once :D Then you get your achievement (Y)

Yeah but you have to actually use them in the game (Y) i.e place a breaching charge on a door then blow the door up etc:p So each mission just change weapons and use them and you should get the achievement (Y)

When I got this achievement, I selected the chapter "Train Yard" there was a room, which has a box in it, full of all the gadgets.

The gadgets you need to use:


Smoke Grenade
Frag Grenade
Flashbang
Incendiary
C4
Breech Charge

started the trainyard, opened the crate, but all the above where there, except C4. Tear gas was missing as well, but that could be because it can only be used in multiplayer or somesuch.

oh well, i'll give it another go when i get home from work.

yep train yard is the best place its near the start if not just get a new type when ever you find a box in game its not hard to unlock with out trying for it whilst playing through the single player plenty situations were you can use all these bits of kit

i finally got that pesky 'equipment specialist' achievement. apperently you cant get it by loading previous scenes, you have to be in a new singleplayer game. Meh, if i had only known that :)

In regards to Special Operations... I am one of the many that have played every map in every mode and not gotten anything for it. Just wanted to clarify as MJ stated, for the Tour of Duty achievement you don't need to do this cooperatively. If anyone needs someone to help getting achievements in this game for co-op story or TH missions let me know. I'm close to elite and could use the points on TH. FYI if you are looking to boost, Presidio is really the fastest if you have at least 3 players. If you only have 2 stick with LVU and Dantes.

Special Operations medal is making me angry. Both my friend and I went through all the maps and all their gametypes 2 times. He got the achievement, but I didn't. I used the checklist too, which if i may add, is missing Research Labs. I did everything but still didn't get it. Am I missing something about these?
