The Ipswich Ripper is the apparent name been given more likely by the media than the Police, to the murderer/(s) currently killing the Prostitutes in the Ipswich Area.

I have a weird interest in Murder, People's Behaviour and What can lead to people to do what they do and why they do it.

Is it just me that seems to be following this with a some very keen interest and I personally don't care what your views are on the murder of certain individuals.

So my question really is, are you disgusted or interegged by the current goings on? Does this get you putting on your Sherlock Holmes hat and searching for Clues or leave you changing the Channel in disgust?

btw Although this is general chat I inderstand if the Mods don't want to allow a Conversation like this...Just thought I'd share my views on a National Story.

My first impressions, well a serial killing prostitutes is not uncommon. Prostitutes are a very vulnerable bunch, perfect targets for killers. Question, has he began to mutilate them yet, or is he simply killing them and disposing of their bodies?

This level and verosity of crime is unprecedented in the UK, even with similarities to the Yorkshire Ripper he killed over a longer period of time compared to this Serial Killer/(s).

Also the Bodies are dumped in relatively Public spaces, which is even more concerning for people living in that area.

Edit: The bodies are found naked however they don't have any obvious evidence of either Physical or Sexual assault. Also they believe there might be connections with previous unsolved murders of other prostitutes going back as far as 1992 that were killed in the area.

Also a psychologist believes that the killer may have lost total control and is effectively going on a killing spree, will others believe he may be playing a game with Police as in enjoying the frill of the chase.

Hmm I think it is one killer, not two, this guy is picking them of the corners, so he is riding solo. Probably a 25-35, normal looking bloke, not a guy that will stand out. It's only a matter of time before he really starts getting comfortable around the bodies and begin to do some real nasty things.

He's dumping in them in relatively public places which is a concern for me so he obviously wants them to be found, however depending on the times he's dumping these bodies he could end up being caught in the act by a passer by leading to the murder of even more innocent people.

Also visually there's no pattern, they just have to be prostitutes. So what happens when he can't get access to these due to mounting police protection. Will he move on and risk be caught by killing in other areas or will he pick anyone that would fit the general prostitute profile.

Also Solo there is benefits to that, obviously the main one being that you have no one to grass you up if the other "chances his mind". However with the quick pace of the killing it seems as though you would need help to pull it off and not risking your identification being reveled.

Time will tell but it's interesting watching it develop...

Amazingly instead of staying off the streets the slappers are arming themselves with scabby knives and bricks because they are that desperate, makes me sick.

I bet he looks like Sutcliffe (or whatever) trampy looking with a beard and probably got dumped by his girlfriend, lost his job, and played too much Manhunt :D

Seriously though, lets all blame this on GTA, after all you can pick up slappers on that, kill them and take your own cash back, BAN GTA!

Maybe like me he is sick and tired of hookers, or maybe unlike me he went to one and got a crap ride and went mental, people kill for some weird reasons, maybe he just wants their knickers, who knows.

Kalou. What is the matter with you?

You have very negative views on a society, prostitution is the oldest job in the world and they are more a failing of the state. People with problems such as the Killer or the Prostitute all come down to the fact that they haven't had all the help they needed.

You might think it's easy for me to say to blame the State but I also mean in the sense of a community atmosphere aswell to inform the State that certain individuals are suffering from Mental or Drug Problems relating to the Killer and Prostitutes respectively.

GTA? WTF? Who has mentioned this bar you?

I think you should remember that these people have Friends and Family, these may not be a concern of you but no matter what people have done or do they still deserve the help and support of the State to help them get better.

They don't want help do they? they don't give a toss what happens to themselves as long as they have enough money for some smack it doesn't matter if they risk getting killed, why should I care about people like this?

I don't care about people like this, people who don't care about themselves don't deserve my care, it's as simple as that, now if they were to stay off the streets fair enough I could see they really are scared and I would care about them to some degree but this isn't the case.

People care too much about people they didn't have a clue existed until they got killed, I have my own life to get on with I can't be thinking about some slappers roaming the streets when they know the chances of getting killed are high.

Then what, shall I care about everyone in the world that gets killed? lets put each and every killing on the news then, because after all they have families and children too, oh and some of them are NORMAL PEOPLE.

You people care so much that 2 weeks after the guy has been caught you would've forgotten all about the prostitutes.

Im sorry Big D Im going to have to close this thread. Again I wouldn't mind this being a simple conversation as it is an interesting topic much like the original Jack the Ripper story and its many viewpoints I find undeniably good to read up on looking at facts and what not.

But Kalou seriously again like yesterday your comments lead to this thread being closed. You view prostitutes as just being lazy women who don't want to find honest jobs but in retrospect a lot of them have kids and if anything are forced by their 'pimps' to work the streets if you will or there kids or themselves will come to harm.

And the fact that you think killings like this is a good thing quite frankly scares me. No on and I mean no one deserves to go like these women I just hope they catch this killer and string him up personally.
