Ive sweated it out to reach just Seg rank! and i love this game...possibly the best so far for 360 (my choice). Yet i play with someone (inc RBF) who has expolited the main clitch just to rank up. This is a co-op one that he has done and for those that dont know it - it's best you dont and play the game fair!

Shame, but there are always going to be ways to cheat and those that do it.

the good thing is you can set everymode to 1 life except sharpshooter, and on survival you carnt set it to anything but 1 life.

but you can play modes with 3 lives witch fleshes the game outa bit in some modes but i prefer 1 life but acept 3 at max

everyone with the super high ranks used the countdown cheat, now heres whats annoying me now, either the games laggy or i get kicked out for wining aint that good and fair im really annoyed now i was playing a ranked match winning by 15 kills and they kick me out and i loose all the points i was goping to earn ive been stuck on this rank for ages because people tend to kick me out with 10 seconds left in the game every person who kicks me now is getting a complaint filed against them (not that it will do much good) for cheating, i carnt play randoms when they kick me out bunch of s i ing hate the s if i knew were they lived id honestly go round and knock their teeth out

In Ranked Matches hosts shouldn't get such options as kicking people out. Which is why CoD3 is so good. No host = less argumetns, no kickings, no arguments about theg ame starting etc etc. Win/win.

What game types are you playing?

Just play the LMS equivalent rather than Sharpshooter. Sharpshooter is a load of guff, and is full of asshats. It was exactly the same on GRAW - people aborting the game when their team was about to lose.

This kind of stuff doesn't happen in LMS, and that's why I loved it so much.

I just play Attack and Defend. Only really on Calipso Casino. I have yet to find another decent gametype. And knowone ever plays A&D on different maps.

It was kind of like that on GRAW, too, with Siege. There were certain maps which were very good for it, so people rarely played anything else. :(

attack and defend is good on all the maps, you get bomb, hostage and breifcase, that all play out very differently, i prefer team survival, and all the chumps who play attaack and defend put unlimited respawns on stack up on the attacking side and set the game to run for 20 minutes making it very hard to defend and when ive held them off for 15 i get kicked out its annoying me soo ing mutch

I have never seen the Defending team win, no. It is very difficult. I always go on attacking though, as I find defending pain-staking.

I've been playing this for 4 days now, as my internet seems to be sorted. finally completed co-Op and Terrorist Hunt (incl achievements) today. It was great,, just a mate and me.

Then we went on to play Attack and Defend, Hostage (How annoying!) and a bit of bomb. I have yet to play a Retrieval match.

Most people I play with tend to play Team Sharpshooter whihc just bores me. :(

Yeah, thta ranking system rules. Its one of the games strong points, although BF2 had the same sort of thing, this lets you upgrade and get new stuff when you rank up, which is cool.

I like library, Calypso. Haven't played much Campus or dantes, I still tend to get lost on those. Dam is just silly.

Rainbow Six doesn't have a Ranking System, the "Title" you get on that is only comparative to how long and how much you play not necessarily your skill.

That's why it's best not to look at so called "The Ranks" as actual Ranks their more status symbols for reaching a certain point in the Online Multiplayer.

So even if you did badly you wouldn't go down you would stay static, you only go up.

As someone else just said, you can't go down in rank on rainbow six unless you stood in a room for hours without moving, it's easy to rank up but just takes a long time. I'm getting a new rank every week / 2 weeks.

On GRAW i know someone who was a legit 10, I got to a 9 but never any higher, I can't beleive they didn't fix the boosting on GRAW, would of lasted alot longer imo.

Most people with high ranks are just shamefully crap, it's embarrasing to kill them with such ease really.

Being elite doesn't mean you'll be able to kill the enemy with ease, it means you've been playing the game alot more than others, you should be better than them but it's not always the case, they might not know the game mode well / where people hide.

But yeah, I'm a legit rank along with my whole clan which has some elites, they're mostly american and all they play is rainbow six till GRAW2 is out.

Alot boost/Glitch but it doesn't mean everyone does, kk?

Granted i might be wrong in some cases, but i am usually the lowest rank in a room, and come in the top 2 or 3 on my team everygame.

Yea the Ranking System on Rainbow Six Vegas is less of how good you are just shows how much you've played it.

It doesn't at all reflect skill, but does show potential skill if that makes sense.

Yeah, Team Survival is good too. I think the best option for that would be under Sharpshooter. I think there's more chance of being able to modify Sharpshooter to have a certain number of lives, than Survival to add some.

Normal is too easy for a hardcore gaming veteran like myself so realistic it is. Plus you get 200 points per level compared to 100 points on normal.

A big (Y) to carocat for helping :fps: us out with some of the co-op campaign levels. Plus I've played the game for over 14 hours straight altogether (yesterday and today) and I've finally got the rank of Staff Sergeant after a gruelling ordeal of online gaming :).

Anything can be a one shot kill; it all depends on the placing of the bullet, the distance between you and your victim, and the steadiness of your shot.

Armor has a lot of effect in this game. Hense the reason why sharpshooter sucks in this game - You unload 3 clips into someone and they turn around and pop yea' one and you die. That makes alot of sense right? Not. The only reason as to the fact that you get killed with a couple shots whereas you shoot them 30+ times, is because they have armor.

The reason why alot of Soldiers die in battle is due to insufficient amounts of armour, so if you want to stay alive don't go around in T-Shirt and Shorts.

Yep, even in sharpshooter i get 30-15 below with running and gunner, it's to do with getting the first shots off, not armour. I can dance around your bullets too, armour is useless in rainbow, when you play it long enough with no armour on, you'll realise it.

No armor is WAY better. Or just have one bar of protection or something. You move SO much faster, and that really help you kill people. I just got light body and sholder armor on I think, only 1 bar of protection and it actually makes me play better.

Well you dont need leg and arm armor, imo you only need to have light stuff on your sholders and body also.....hmmm maybe put heavy stuff on the body to start. Try it for a few games, you might like the difference.
