Hmm Well if it is for a bedroom then I'll recommend a Samsung LCD. They're quite good and a number of members on here have one, I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Whats your budget, preferred size and any favourite brand of manufacturer/s?

I've got a Samsung 26", so yeah, another Samsung-er here. Only had it for a month or two, though, so I can't really tell you about how they hold up in the long run. I'm on 5-year guarentee (free when you buy from John Lewis!), though, so I'm covered either way.

They look really great, and aren't too expensive.

I've got a Samsung and I have to admit they are very good :D

As was pointed out, it might help if you mention Size, Budget, Room Space, etc so you can pick the best type of display and correct size.

if you have a samsung TV turn it off and press INFO MENU MUTE POWER

you get the secret admin menu

go to number 2, option table and turn everything that has the word Dynamic infront of it OFF

and play with the Gamma aswell...might help your eyes abit

DONT CHANGE ANYTHING THAT YOU DONT UNDERSTAND IN THIS MENU

p.s. if you balls your TV up, dont come crying to me, do this at your own risk

well its not a samsung but i have a 19"monitor and i use a vga cable and switch box and the image is amazing plus if you have the room its a million times cheaper. it cost me £30 for the monitor £10 for the switch box £10 for the vga cable and a few quid for the cables needed to connect it. much cheaper than a £400 tv.

After seeing the HD supertest in the Official Xbox Mag a fe wmonths ago.

I went out and brought myself there reccomended buy, The 32 inch, JVC dx-7.

Fortunatly it's every bit as good as they discribed, And far beats the No 3 entry (the toshiba, that my dad recently purchased)

Above all, Not only is the sound, etc all top-notch.
But it will play all games in 1080 Without any distortion.

Deffinatly worth the extra money.

It cost £1400 But I got a free thr3 dvd rec/cin system (worth £500)
