Sports Section.

It seems to me that this sports section is REALLY lacking. Majority of the people who post here are soccer fans. There's a very limited amount of Football fans and virtually no basketball fans. Does anyone have an idea to get this section active?

It covers the 3 main topics of each console. and user's don't have to scroll for 3 seconds to get to the bottom of the site lol.

Unfortunately, most board-owners observe big boards like Xbox.com et cetera and model their board on their observations. Most board-owners forget that Xbox.com et cetera have significantly larger communities than their own, and hence that's why the big boards split general forums into a few dozen specific forums. It's tiresome when having to scroll down through all the unnecessary forums, here.

That's because the majority of the people whom use this site are from the UK. Football is well talked about - just slipped of a bit lately. There is a thread on American Handball, sorry Football on here somewhere, but i dont look at it myself so i cannot comment on who uses it.

I read in another thread that you have been recently banned from another? It wasnt to do with these type of threads you are trying to make or change in only a day of you joining?

It my be best to keep these ideas to yourself until you become a more active member - people will be more willing to listen when you, how shall we say ' been around a bit'

I think the reason why it isn't so popular is because there are many sports sites with forums which you can go to. Since this site is more based around gaming you may not find as many dedicated sports fans.

Yea as already pointed out the Sports section itself I don't think is aimed at being popular its just a place you can go Off-Topic on.

The idea is that you keep on Topic such as Next Gen Consoles, the site is currently in a change at the moment as it's going through an upgrade from purely 360Monster to ConsoleMonster and the obviously associated sites (eg. PS3Monster and WiiMonster).

The site's just little over a year old.

Also as was pointed out this is a UK Based Site although they now have quite a few international posters such as yourself, if you think you can contribute to improving this section then don't be shy about it.

yep, very few people outside of America play Basketball or American football, and football (soccer to some) is the popular sport in the world, so it makes sense most sport posts are about football. This isnt even a sports forum though, i am suprised we have a section about real sports, and not one about sports games.
