anyone thing this is a good loan move for united? what are your thoughts on it?

at first i was like wtf we dont need him we have rooney saha smith solskjaer ronaldo could play up front if he wanted to and fergie is recalling rossi in january aswell cos hes not getting any games at newcastle.

then i thought about it and realised saha took a knock against everton and may want a rest although he looked alright the other day plus he may want to rest rooney, and ole is injured and smithy aint exactly proper fit from his broken leg, so im thinking this is quite a move for larsson considering he will be wantin to get fit for the swedish season

Pointless.

Ronney and Saha. Solskjaer and Smith for back-up.

Larsson is a god up here at Celtic, he also won the European Cup when he came on as a sub.

He is an excellent professional and will knock in the goals for Man Utd.

Rooney, Ronaldo and Larsson up front will be an amazing strike force.

This is a great move for Man Utd and no way is it pointless. The only fit strikers that have at the moment are Saha and Rooney. Yea I know they have Smith and Solskjaer and also Rossi coming back but none of the other strikers have the experience that Larsson will bring to the team. Larsson is in a different league than their other backup strikers.

It would be demented getting Rossi back, would they use him? Smith done himself in by refusing to join Coventry (was it them?) on loan to regain his fitness now he is nowhere near starting for Man UTD, now if he just went on loan for a few months he could've gained that fitness 10 times quicker and pushed for a first team slot, now it's going to take him ages to get the fitness which he can only get via reserve games.

I think Larsson will be used against the crap teams aka Arsenal (:p) to give Rooney or Saha a rest, but it won't do much for Man UTD as they lack depth so if you put Larsson up front and take Rooney away I guess he will give the other stars a rest, take Giggs, Scholes, Rooney and Ronaldo away and what have you got? a reserve team.

Ronaldinho said he prefers Larsson rather than Eto'o.

Says it all really.

Bit of a weird move, when you consider the media was claiming he was after Torres and Bent, But he will provide sufficent cover for Rooney and Saha and enable them to have a rest. I mean with the Fa cup starting off in January there will be a lot of games for that team to play.

Yeah, Good move tbh, even if hes used as a backup - someone of that experience and calibur is always a plus. If he does well Fergie will no doubt buy him.
