Maybe if things kick up alittle we could start a 360 clan. Basically play
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
Perfect Dark Zero
Halo 1 - 2 ( NEXBC for 1, 2 BC on 360 )
Halo 3 ( When it comes out )
Gears of War
Chrome Hounds
Amped 3 ( Maybe ?? )
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat

I don't think I will be getting Perfect Dark, but I would definitly join when Halo 3 and Gears of War comes out. :)

The "lets-create-a-360Monster-clan" concept is amazing... but I just gotta say, why specific games? Why not take on every game possible of Live gameplay?

Dude... barbie? I mean, come on... I said every game possible, every "game"... some barbie crap is no game! I'm with you, not every single game!:p
I know, we can't just add every game of course, but my point was that I don't like the making of a list with specific games, as you said, some don't like every game. The point is that it would be nice to have a variety of games in different genres.

omg when ffxi comes out we can do like a party thing where clan members go around helping others level up and stuff, if we managed to organise this well uit could b amazing, just organising tournaments and other suck would be so kl, i can see a 32 free for all on halo 3 in the near future

oh you will get into it, its so addictive at the start but kinda wears off after a while but its one of the best experiences with gaming

I hope we can start this clan on the original xbox, because, I know this sounds gay, but I would really like a gaming community we're we can actually all have fun, chat to each other, and play together quite often, it would be great if we were all tight.

^^Yeah, because I always get invited to some ranomd clan, we're it's a clan just for the hell of it and no one knows each other... and then it dies like 2 weeks later,.
And like i said its a clan for the hell of it, they don't even play clan matches.

^^^that is true. if you only have a couple of people with 360's you wont be able to do much. Another thing that they are going to have time to set up is maybe a ranking system or something like that :unsure:
i wont be able to get a 360 until after christmas though :(

I'll be in this clan aslong as we don't just play FPS games which are all the games which the creater if the thread listed lol. I'd love to kick ass on Tony Hawk's American Wasteland against you all. :cool:

Unless you set it up with another clan through aim or something ( or even Xbox Live), then I don't see how it can be done.
It's too bad devolopers don't look at Halo 2 and see what was done right.
I need some Tony Hawk players on my list. Live is empty on this game :(

If you are serious about setting up a clan can I pass on some tips I have picked up whilst being a member of The Usual Suspex (http://www.theusualsuspex.co.uk).
1) Have a clan captain who is dedicated and wants the clan to last. It may sound strange but you need someone who is motivated otherwise the clan will go under....
2) Decide if you are playing for fun or serious. This will influence who you will want to join the clan.
3) Personally I would set up a different forum for the clan away from this one. Keep things nice and clear.
4) Choose which games are clan games. e.g PDZ, Ghost Recon etc. I would say that nearly all the clans out there at the moment still play original Xbox games.
5) After the initial membership drive don't just accept anyone, see how much they will contribute before accepting them into the clan. I think it was about 3/4 months before I became a TUS clan member.
6) If you want a match, just ask...... Go onto other clan forums, introduce yourself and throw down a challenge. Its easy to arrange. Just exchange Gametags, add the team captains to your Friends list and invite the other clan members into a private session.... easy...

No you pretty much hit the nail on the head...
A clan usually will only survive if (a) you have people there that want it to and (b) you get a group of likewise minded gamers... having been in many clans before, and having groups that argue over where the clan is going is really only a sure way to destroy the clan.
Of course you then need a name for the clan, and someone savvy enough to create a site for that clan including forum... so cost does appear somewhere and cannot really be avoided. I own the TUS url and pay for that myself, but our hosted site is or will be paid by all members, and that again comes back to the members wanting the clan to survive and therefore sees the benefit in trumping up ££££ for the site.
Then finally its just about getting out there and setting challenges - but remaining polite - nothing worse than a clan that just dishes out abuse in games/turn into a bunch of stat plebs... as we have met many a clan like that - and well we have never played them since so...?
Making a name for yourself pays off - TUS will be going to the LMS Live event planned for later this year, which is done on exclusive invite, so it does pay off to be polite and to become respected.
