HELP transferring hard drives

I was wondering if anyone could help me.

Im going to a mates house tomorrow for a gaming session and i want to take my 360 hard drive round. he doesnt have one (a hard drive that is), and only uses a USB drive.

The question is, can i take my 360 hard drive round and use my gamertag, save games, demos, arcade games etc.. on his 360?

What is actually stored on the 360 and what is stored on the hard drive?

As far as i know, yes you can. I've taken my hardrive to a friends and played on my gamertag with my gamesaves. So yeah it should work :)

Nothing is stored on the Xbox 360 itself except for the System OS itself via a Flash Drive I believe.

Games Saves, Profiles, Demo's and Arcade Games are saved onto the Xbox 360 Hard Drive. He will only be able to play your Arcade Games if you are signed into the Xbox 360 aswell.

Cheers, ill try it out anyways. Just didnt want to overwrite anything on his xbox or mess my hard drive up in any way
