Call of Duty is leaving WWII, where do you think it'll go? I really hope it goes to the Iraq War, it'll probably be very controversial, but i think they could pull it off.

Well I personally think they should avoid calling a non-WWII project Call of Duty 4. I played Call of Duty 3 and wasn't impressed it's a very good game but it's not a good sequel, so if we assume the same path....

Then Call of Duty 4 is going to be a failure, sequel wise that is.

There were machine guns, there were tanks, and yes America was involved, not as involved as WWII but involved nonetheless. The problem is WWI was fought in the trenches, and was a massive stalemate, and it simply wouldn't make a compelling FPS.

I assume it'll follow the "Conflict" routine (you know, the Desert Storm games, which then progressed into Vietnam and a modern terrorism one). Either the first Gulf War or Vietnam, most likely.

Speaking of which, I want a 360 version of Conflict: Desert Storm. That was an awesome co-op game.

Yeah, originally there was the Triple Alliance of Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy.

Towards the end of the war, Italy sided with the allies (Britain, France, sort of Russia), and Austria-Hungary kind of fell apart, leaving Germany on its own to be defeated.

Yup, it is.

Just because the only coverage you've probably seen is of Italian, Spanish, German or whatever players diving about on the national scene doesn't mean "soccer" is a wussy sport.

Play it in this country, and you'd see why it's a real man's sport. And even the lower leagues in the aforementioned countries, it's generally much tougher. It's just in the big leagues, with the big-name players, where diving and cheating goes on.

Of course it's a contact sport...just not a full contact sport.

And referees blowing for every foul is top level professional only...I've played in some brutal matches. Get some great bruises that last 2-3 weeks and make sure I give the other players some to take home too.

Sunday League football has alot of Contact in it, but you have to judge the sport based on the Top Level Players not what some people do on a weekend.

So football is very much a non-contact sport, not in the same way as Basketball but it's not Contact like Rugby or American Football...Half Way I suppose.

i am from america, but i love soccer (football) its so fun to watch and to play...actually, a big thing in our school is english soccer jerseys...i have a freind from england who moved here in 4th grade so he always wears em very cool.


but back on topic...Iraq war could be alright...same with the gulf war...but i think a complete made up futuristic war would be cool like the year 3000 or something...where each country is seperate no allies, and each has its own special technologies and such..

How is football a contact sport? touch the player and you give away a fk, the only contatc you make is with the ball, you can't even use your shoulder strength now.
