i have to say the wired controller is alot better than the wireless on FPS games the differnce is very noticable, other games the diffrence doesnt really show.

so from now on im pluging my wired controller in for FPS games i noticed abig gulf in my ability using both controllers between 5 and 10 kills differnce because that extra little quick reaction time you get from the wired does make a diffrence.

i dont know if its just me are does anyone else thing the same as me

I had both the Wired and the Wireless and to be honest I didn't notice any difference between the two.

my mate at work says the exact same thing RBF he always uses his wired pad for FPS and his wireless for other games / offline games :)

i only have 2 pads, and both are wireless, so i'll be sticking with them. Can't say i have ever noticed a response issue with them

the wired control feels cheap and tacky but by the time you have bought everthing for the wirless it at least £40 for remote and play and charge kit.

I did noticed with the wired controller, my headset was giving everybody an echo. On my wireless set I can have the volume up full with no problem.

Can anyone quote any official figures of button to action response times on wired & wireless?

To be honest, if there is a difference, it will be very small.

Sounds like a dirty connector on your wired.

No difference between wireless and wired but I think I will experiement. In Halo2 I do sense a difference but nothing in 360.

I have noticed a very slight difference especially with FPS. Reaction times with a wired pad are better than with the wireless one.

have you done a blind test, i.e. tested each controler without knowing if it is wired or wireless?

I prefer wired overall as its a PC pad too :)

that would be very quite hard to do.....

You could plug in you play and charge kit and stick some tape over the join and then blind test it:D

what you mean by blind test, i can tell the difference even if its a day apart from playing on both controllers, im very observant

But that you know yourself to be observant might be the problem. It's called an expectancy effect. It's why placebo trials for drugs are done blind.

it was my opinion not a scientific test mate, and i think the wired is better
