Who does everyone reckon will get the boot in the next few weeks? the obvious list would have to include;

Alan Pardew
Ian Dowie
Stuart Pearce
Glen Roeder
Gareth Southgate

I would say it's out of those 5 in the prem and I think mental Pearce will be first to go, City went 2 goals down in 4 minutes today and they have been playing shocking all season, who do you reckon will be first to go? and if you can say who will replace him that would be better :)

If Pearce goes and Bryan Robson replaces him I wouldn't be surprised, or even Alex McCleish, I would love to see him manage in the prem.

I think West Ham will get overtaken and soon after that dopey Sven will replace Pardew, Robson might end up at either Newcastle or City and McCleish might end up at City if it's still available.

Dowie will no doubt be the next to go with Pardew close behind him.

If Dowie loses today he will defo be first, but Bruce is apparently very very close to getting the chop at Birmingham so maybe he will be first :)

I don't think Bothroyd will get the chop even if Watford finish last.

Nah, he won't.

Not a chance.

He done brilliant to get Watford were they are, adn with the team they've got they shouldn't really be expected to do any good.

I say

Dowie and Pardew as well. Both under achieving.

How long do you reckon it will be before Hearts find a new manager? I'll give it another two weeks and I'll give Brewster the same.

Anyone willing to manage Hearts must be a poor manager, because quite frankly they won't be managing the team the other guy is, I forgot his name though, but look at all the changes, 56 times in like 11 games or something....

Ivanauskas does not pick that team. There is no way he picks it. Why doesnt Romanov just buy FM. Less pressure less money;) But John Hughes to Hibs Im thinking Brewster might see Dunfermilne. John Robertson might step into the SPL again.

A lot happening anyway

Apparently that Mitsu Paatelinien (or whatever) has left Cowdenbeath so the chances of him being the Hibs manager are very good, bit of a coincidence he leaves them like this so he's my bet.

Robertson should have a crack at Dundee UTD imo and Ivanauskas should go back to Lithuania as he's kak.

Not a good result for Charlton, and Dowie.

he could find himself gone a week on monday if he doesn't win next weekend.

Iain Dowie and NOW Pardew of the list...the rest are slowly drifting away.

Dowie will no doubt be the next to go with Pardew close behind him.

Well, would you look at that.

I am just too good.

lol yep :)

I wonder where Pardew will go now and do you reckon Curbishley will get the job? I'd be very surprised if he didn't.

You could add the new Charlton boss to the list aswell because I can't see him lasting long, he's worse than Dowie!

I wonder why Sven didn't declare interest in the Hammers job, maybe he si waiting for the Man City seat to be vacant.

Also who was that guy Man UTD and Fergie were having a meeting with? some italian guy, they said it was over a charity match but I bet it was to replace Fergie at the end of the season.

Lippi, it is for a charity match. In march I think it is, Man Utd Vs European XI. A selection of the best players from Europe, Beckham is the first player to be confirmed, think he is gonna be the captain, and Lippi is managing them.

Roeder wont go this season.... hes actually doing well and I would much rather get rid of Freddy and keep Glenn in all honesty

Kalou
12/Dec/06, 02:58 PM
Agreed, Roeder seems to be doing well now and hopefully he keeps it up and gets in some DECENT players, unlike Souness, to help the team climb the table.

Sooooo now the obvious ones have left who else is next? hard to say really as I don't think Warnock or Boothroyd will get the sack even if they both finish in the bottom 2.

To be honest I can't see anyone getting sacked for quite a while yet, but saying that I still ain't convinced about Pearce.

WACCOE
31/Dec/06, 05:56 PM
Nah, i'd say Pearce's job was safe.
Southgate will quite clearly be the next to go. :]

AfroJoe
31/Dec/06, 07:11 PM
Yep, I'd say Southgate as well.

You never know with Pearce, though. They've not exactly been lighting up the league so far this year. In fact, they've taken a pretty big step backwards.

My man Pearces job is safe no worries there. 3 wins in a row, which include back to back away wins, i cant remember the last time that happened. None of them have been convincing but grinding out results is all its about when you are on the wrong end of a bad run. Then again Football is a very thickle game and we supporters have short memories.

If fans could sack a manager i would say Curbs would be on his way, the sick he was getting from fans today was ridiculous, considering hes only been in the job a wet weekend.

But i wouldnt disagree that Southgate will be the next to go, he needs to start lower down the leagues imo, he doesnt have the character to start in top flight.

WACCOE

He doesn't have the character to win a 'bore to the death' contest.

part_troll87
01/Jan/07, 11:03 PM
Lol Well i thought when he took over at the boro he didnt have what it takes, I think you need to have real inspiration to be able to lead players, i think it was a mistake to start at a club where hes just played, Because nobody has respect for him. but we may be wrong, you never know in football.

WACCOE

He just doesn't seem like an intimidating presence, which is what all players should feel when there manager walks through the door.
I'd more than likely just laugh at him as apposed to sit, listen, and respect him.

West Ham are beyond repair, seriously, 6-0 against Reading is bloody shocking and if Curbishley got sacked I wouldn't be surprised.

Thing is though, how are they so pish? apart from the strikers they have a team easily capable of staying in the Premiership, they really need to use tevez and Mascherano, these are by far the two best players in the team and when they have settled in they will be world class.

West ham don't need about 6 strikers, they need Tevez playing and Ashton when he is back and that partnership will be good enough to score into any team, Mascherano in the holding position with Reo-Coker going forward is the best option in my opinion and they need to get Benayoun to start every game as he's one of their very best players.

They need a good winger and a right back and that would be enough, but I just think they need a manager to boost the morale and confidence, pronto.

You cannot, I repeat, cannot, sack Alan Curbishley.
He hasn't had a chance, he walked into a black hole when taking that job.
They were alreay appualing, and there's nothig that he can do to fix i within a few weeks. Give them another few weeks, and i'll bet they start picknig up some results, Curbishley will be hard at work, and i'm sure he'll pick up a few good transfers.
Although they already have a very good team, Lawro summed it up on MoTD last night. "They have too many billy bigtimes". Who think they are better than everyone else, and play for themselves only.
Reo-coker is number 1 example. He had a terrible seaosn and doesn't even look bothered half of the time.
The only player to do himself justice this season for West Ham is Teddy Sheringham, giving 100% as always.
They need a lot of work, but sacking Curbishley would undoubtedly be a step in wrong direction.

Could'nt agree more. They have been up one season and too many think they have made it. Curbs has proven to be a top manager, and im sure he'll get it right, But it is a major task that hes taken on there.
