strange high pitch noise while playing 360

Anyone elses 360 make an odd high pitch screeching sound while playing on there 360? it only happens for me on oblivion though, ive heard it just might be the disc drive but im not sure.

its not REALLY high pitched its more like a beeping noise, ill go and have a look on the xbox.com forums.

Hows your 360 placed? Vertical or Horizontal?

horinzontal, and its premium, ive done a search on the xbox forums and quite a few people have it, but some people say its the disc drive spinning really fast, others say its the fans but im not sure.

My 4th refurb model does that high pitch squeak on some games like Saints Row for instance. But it hasnt crashed or packed up yet! so i'll stick with it.

My core 360 (bought as backup) is quite as a mouse - disc drive sounds and loads better (manu date jun 06) and doesnt shoot as as other.

Just keep an eye on it it will be fine

picked up the 360 today - how do you connect more than one wireless controller for mutliplayer use - the manual is totally blank on this. appreciate advice.

just turn it on :)

and thats all you need to do

the green light will indicate what number the controller is

Turn them on and console, then press the little button on the console and the little button on the controller, its by the port to recharge you battrey, then they both fall in love. (how nice)

now when i playy splinter cell, i get all kinds of different noises coming from the disc drive, its weird but it dosentaffect the game at all.
