TONY HAWK'S PROJECT 8 DEMO TO DEBUT ON

XBOX LIVE MARKETPLACE OCTOBER 20

Santa Monica, CA – October 19, 2006 – The competition to become a member of Tony Hawk's elite skate team starts on your Xbox 360™ with the free Tony Hawk's Project 8 demo available on Xbox Live® Marketplace Oct. 20.

Gamers can download the demo and hit the Concrete Park where they will experience some of the latest innovations in the #1 best selling action sports franchise from Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI), including "Nail the Trick," which gives players precision control over how their skater moves their feet to flip the skateboard; "Filmer" goals that require players to follow a cameraman and complete tricks that he calls out; and "Spot Challenges" which are ambient goals that players can access throughout the game world and complete as they choose.

Tony Hawk's Project 8 is being developed by Neversoft Entertainment for the Xbox 360â„¢ video game and entertainment systems from Microsoft. The game is rated "T" by the ESRB and is scheduled for release in November.

Kinda. It's a more mature game with the tricks are still out of this world. If you have seen any gameplay videos you will see that you go into some cool mode where each of the thumbsticks control your feet and how you kick the board.

Both MK [Mortal Kombat] and TH [Tony Hawks] are starting to appear in Marketplace for folks...if you don't see it yet, give it time as the team is actively working on this...meaning it may appear/dissapear/re-appear. Both titles will be available as soon as they can address the issue. Again, thanks for your patience. I won't have a chance to check for an update for a few hours, but it should be fixed by then.

By the way: Your abilty to see (or not see) the content has nothing to do with your geo-location.

Graphics are stunning :cool: but then again it wasn’t going to take much to improve on THAW (360)

it’s the same controls more or less as all previous TH games, which is a good thing imo (Y) but it also feels so completely different its a lot more slower paced and just feels more real.

It’s just err great :)

I'm disappointed, if I wanted realism I would buy SKATE not Tony Hawk's. The game claims to be realistic but it is possible to do 9 kickflips out of a 5 foot QP, so very realistic.
Should have great fun with it though. (Y)

Seems ok....not too keen on the pace...seems way too slow to me.

Nail the trick is a good addition though and the graphics are nice but ragdolls aren't great and still some nasty clipping.

Might pick it up on the cheap one day.

My bro will be buying this but am still gonna play it a dont really like skateboarding as tom91 said these games are so addictive =D
