probs with my samsung LCD HD TV help

Iv'e got a samsung LE26R74BD, and im useing the VGA cable. My prob is that i have got faint wavey lines going up and down the screen. They come and go alot. They are very anoying. Has any one else had this prob with this tv? Can i get rid of them some how? Plus wot resolution should i have this tv set at on the 360? Any help would be very greatful. ta(Y)

You sure thats the correct model number? I can't find anything that corresponds with that on a search engine. Or is there no "U" on the end?

I use the VGA cable with my Samsung and its perfect. I also have it set on the resolution at the bottom of the list.

I haven't really noticed I'll go check now though. Mine is a 32 inch though.

1360 x 768 is my resolution and there is a really slight border not really noticeable unless you look for it.

Wish i had the 32 now, but still a cool tv, and i just wondered if that was normal on that resolution. BIG THANKS for the help.

I have it on Dead Rising and I use 1024 on the 360...

Some games run quite bad, the best example is PES4 on the PC, without vsync on I had those lines, with it on I didn't yet the game ran like crap.

I am going to try putting some games to 50hz, because on the PS2 putting them to 60hz made them slow so maybe the 360 is the same, if this doesn't work I am left with a tv that is useless.

I have like 3-4 faint lines going vertical down the screen on my Samsung :( the new Fifa 07 looks so bad due to the lines its unplayable.

Have tried the official Component lead on 720p/180i and now tested the MS VGA on 1280 x 760, 1360 x 768.

and yep there still there on every setting ¬¬

Amazing, FIFA was perfect for me, looked great and played great, it's about the only game thus far that has :)

Yep iv'e tryed everything even moving the tv in case of interference and trying a diferent 360. Iv'e come to the conclusion that it is the tv, i'm taking it back because its got a 3 year warrenty with it. :'(

I've tried 3 xbox cables, 2 PS2 cables and 2 digital cables and they all suck :)

I am going to get an engineer down tommorow after I clean my room :D

I have that model, why are u using VGA? Component usually gives a much nicer picture. Make sure the TV isnt too close to your PC also, as this can cause flickering.

I'm using a samsung LE40R7, and when it is though game mode the picture is fantastic and there are no lines.

i have a samsung le32r7 and when i try and use the component setting with the 360 lead that comes with 360 it doesnt have any sound, do i need to have surround sound system to use the component option?
