This is the description that comes with it
Devolo MicroLink® dLAN® DUO adapters are HomePlug products that easily
transform your in-house mains power circuit into a home networking
infrastructure using your existing electrical wiring. Ideal for anyone
wanting to extend their Internet access, make an internal network or even
connect your games console without the need for new cabling. Surf the
Internet and share data at up to 14 Mbps and a range of up to 200m. Data
sharing is easily enabled by connecting each PC to a power socket with a
MicroLink® dLAN® Duo adapter. For Internet access, simply connect the
MicroLink® dLAN® Duo adapter to an Internet enabled DSL modem/ router
(Ethernet) and plug it into a power socket. This system couldn't be more
easy and flexible!

It uses you existing mains loops to transmit data across them...you see it used a lot for X10 Home Automation stuff. You have a plug socket adaptor one end which you plug your modem into...then another plug socket adaptor at the receiving end which will give you an ethernet out socket to connect to PC/Games console.

The data rate doesn't look too hot though...so I wouldn't really want to use it for gaming......you be better off hooking out some ethernet cables and a wired router.
