i bought chaos theory preowned to play on my 360 but the online team games dont work it says there is a problem with the original xbox game is this my disc or back compat playin up

I am sure that on the Splinter Cell forums I read that if you have a 360 you cannot play with original xbox owners online. Now how true that is I don't know but that is what I've read.
