Anyone plan to upgrade to Lepoard when its out? think its releasing the same time as vista to compete with ms not sure.I might upgrade not for a while though. :unsure:

No thats just a promo...

You can take a sneak peak at it on Apple's own website, http://www.apple.com/uk/macosx/leopard/, the Time Machine Application seems the most promising and most useful.

Also the idea of spaces is good...

I strongly doubt I'll be bothering with Leopard. I'm quite happy just sticking with Tiger until I get my next Mac... and that won't be for a long time.

On a related note, has anybody else noticed just how ugly Apple is making some of it's programs look? I couldn't stomach Brushed Metal, and the new version of iTunes looks utterly atrocious (http://www.freewebs.com/armenianssr/ituneugly.PNG). I think it's reached the point where Microsoft products have started looking better than Apple products again.

I agree in a way, I don't think iTunes looks ugly, just a bit mundane.

Although Leopard doesn't seem to offer much more than Tiger does, althought the same could be said for XP and Vista.

Yeh I don't think it can be said iTunes 7 looks ugly. I don't like the blue bits. I really miss the Aqua bits'n bobs.

I will be upgrading my Laptop next year so makes sense just to stick with Tiger till I sell my PowerBook. But I will deffo be getting Leopard about the middle of next year with my new lappy.
Can't wait to see the 'hidden untill release' features that Apple have been working on. Roll on January 8th (Macworld)

I found this video with Steve Jobs in showing off his splinter company NeXTSTEP. This was the early 90's I think before he was re-employed by Apple in 97. It's an interesting video for people who use OS X and like watching the keynotes.

i think it looks worse than no.6 and the blue music note in the logo looks awful i hate it, thats why i like candybar ;)

No, I'd say that Vista offers a lot more than XP does. But then, of course, OS X has offered what Vista will offer for the past however many years, so to us it might seem negligible.

i used to have my itune in a snazzy zebra style look, its well easy to change it, you can have a pic of you tiled across it if you want.
another thing i had was instead of stars for ratings, i had the word GREAT so 5 stars was GREAT 4 was GREA, etc etc
