erm, this is been bugging me for a while, i use my 360 with my 19" LCD Monitor using the VGA cables, but the graphics are like worse than Halo 1 graphics compared on the Xbox. any suggestions as why that is ?
Everything is blurred out, no Anti-Aliasing, its like looking at a crappy computer video card graphics, dunno why that is ?

its 1240x1020 or whatever its meant to be, i can get higher butm that distorts the dashboard abit, right side is abit off, but the thing is my 360 games work fine, i think anyway.

Don't help him out anyway if you could, I tried, gave it a thing to try and then he turned round and told me I'm wrong. So to be honest don't waste your time.
It's as if he waiting for a solution that he thinks is right.....

wat...
you gave me advice to a totally different matter, nothing to do with my Halo 2 graphics being bad :P
I'm in the same boat, well the graphics don't look bad, they look awesome in HD, but I've got a problem with my VGA cable in some games.
It puts the game in widescreen mode then stretches it to the screen.
I don't mind widescreen mode, with Dead Rising it's in widescreen but it has the black bars to keep the picture how it should be, but when it stretches the screen like it does in Halo 2 and PGR3 it's just annoying.
Theres a switch (like the HD switch on the normal cable) but it doesn't appear to do anything.
Can any of you help me with this problem?

Is your Dashboard set to Widescreen?
Set it to whichever option it's not on right now and see how it goes.

No problem with the resolution, it is a problem with the BC that some people have, absolutely nothing you can do unless they update the software.

If it works at all it'll be 60hz as the VGA cable won't support Pal-50...you'll see that message if you try playing Halo2 on Live.

Yea before i updated the game, it said my VGA cable didnt suport PAL-50 wen i tried to go on Live, yes. But i hooked it to a normal TV downloaded autoupdate, the maps etc, and then back to my LCD Monitor again.

I play Halo 2 with a VGA cable and a monitor and it looks awesome, at first it looks stretched but you get used to that in like 10 minutes. I can't remember it giving me a message about it not supporting PAL-50 though.

I'd better try that then!

You want to see what the native resolutioin is on the monitor. Mine is the 19" hans G and it looks great. The native resolution ends in 790 (i think) but there are higher resolution setting I could select from the list. Use the native resolution not a higher one and you'll find your games look much much better. The native resolution on my monitor is the same as 720p on a standard Hi-Def Screen.

Ill have a look but, i think ive set to what its meant to be anyhow.
Mines set to native res but the picture is still stretched : /
I guess a widescreen monitor might fix the problem.
/me has got his eye on a 24" monitor.

You should be able to change the format it's in (widescreen or normal 4:3) also some games have built in visual options check those out might solve the problem.

Awesome man, get practicing then get in on the FFA tournament.
I switched my 360 to widescreen mode and it seems to have fixed the stretching problems I get in some games (but then I get problems in the games I had no problems with before :p)
So I'm gonna have to keep swtiching it depending on what game I'm playing.

Whats the Native resolution on a average 19" LCD Monitor, my Max is 1280x1024, ive tried a couple of different resolutions, iam gonna go home ands try the smaller ones, see if that has any effect on my graphics or not.
Mjmaskrey, did the switching to a TV to update your game help ?

They seem fine, well as good as I'd expect an Xbox game to be.
My settings are 1280x1024 (my LCD's native res) and ratio at normal...as it's a 4:3 monitor.
