Japanese Account???

Dont know where the idea came from but I remeber someone mentioning that you could download marketplace content from other countries i.e Japan Which was where I tried. Took a while trying to find a valid postcode on Google for Japan.

I doubted it worked and when the tag I chose said United Kingdom as location I thought I was right. WRONG!!!
They have this really cool advertisement showing a beach thing and it saying...well its just got lots of palm trees on it.

I am downloading 4 things. Bullet Witch Demo LoveFootball Demo XOR demo and the Arcade game TimePilot

Will get them finished tonight and will post up my views on them but might be hard as I am not the most fluent in Japanese;)

Just wondered what your views were.i.e should I be doing it and anyone else tried it etc.

you can get time pilot on the uk one... :D

theres nothing wrong with it in my eyes, its all free anyway, but wasnt there something about not being able to play japanese demos due to region coding? :brow:

You may not be able play that many demo's as they started to region lock them.

I'm going to set one up soon though as if it isn't locked I want to try Project Sylpheed.

I wouldn't bother with hosting the movies/trailers...they're already hosted on sites like QJ and GameTrailers always have them.

Because of ESRB and things like that. It's not just about speaking the same language. There's a plethora of things that might make a demo not be released somewhere. Look at the Chromehounds demo, its still not in NA...

As far as I've tried, the region coding is bull.

I've downloaded a few Japanese demos, work like a charm...

The rest do though and tbh they are not that bad.

There is a Lylat Wars style game called Zegapin or something which I thought was really cool.

There was another FF style game but it got hard understanding what hoinchioooo ektire means an all that.

Not tried Bullet which yet which I am presuming is XOR or else its the FF style game.

But not half bad:)

Zegapain XOR is okay...certainly not good in anyway.

Tenchu...that's just plain balls...hasn't been a good Tenchu game since the 1st one and even worse is that it's by From software who make the excellent Otogi games.

Love Football...was looking forward to laughing my socks off at it's crappyness...shame it's region locked.

Will try some more tonight or tomorrow.

There's no much on the Jap side to get excited about right now....BUT...confirmed for Jap XBLA only (thus far) is Yie Ar Kung-Fu!!!

That alone will be worth it!

I know of one person, but he didnt get banned but suspended for like a month or two weeks or something like that...
