Well I've had some pretty good feedback on my writing, etc in the past for my reviews and more recently my game blog. Its basically my personal views of the industry, etc. I've been told I should be aiming to be a writer in the games industry, but I'm curious to find out more on what other gamers think of my stuff before I go around begging for jobs.
So if you fancy a read of any of it, feel free to pay a visit. Oh and if you're sensative to swearing, um, you might wanna give it a miss. ;)
Anyway, heres the link....

Just read the latest post, it was a pretty good read, and I laughed at some parts. The background makes it a little hard to read in some places so I highlighted the text which was okay.
Good blog though man, very nice looking with some great posts. (Y)

Good stuff, although as mentioned before the background images is obscuring the text... Always nice to see sites appearing though that express personal opinions :)
Good luck with your new venture.

Well, I've known for years about how good your writing can be (hell, it beat me in a fair few Gameadays :D). Same applies here, I suppose. Some very nice stuff in there. :)

Thanks for the feedback guys. ;) I'll probably look into getting my background changed so that its easier to read - been thinking along the lines of a more neutral one anyway. ;)
Hope you'll visit now and again - be nice to know I have a few regular readers. ;)

I had the same issues with the other people who read your september rant with the background but apart from that I can relate to what you are saying with regard to shop assistants. A little tip for you is that I put the game receipt in the game case sleeve so I never misplace it.
You do like to swear a lot don't you? it reminds me of myself in many ways. I found it to be quite humourous though from what I read.

DControl - Yeah I do swear quite a lot, but then thats why I started the blog. People close to me have always said I have a way with words and the blog is my way of expressing my views with no censorship.
For me and the swearing, the way I look at it, if you take the likes of say Billy Connelly - take his stand up material and take away the swearing, etc. It would still be good stuff, the guys a legend in my view, but take away the language he uses at times and it would lose a certain edge to it. The same really applies to me.
I can say I don't like something and be all family friendly, but the language and way I express things helps to show just how much I hate something. I doubt there are any angels on this board - we all swear when we casually chat to friends, etc. The main point of my blog is to talk/rant about stuff as if I'm talking to you in person.
I thought my blog up from a combination of things. I like to talk about the game industry, I enjoy typing views up (as Afro mentioned we wrote reviews for SR) and everyone close to me has always commented on how I have a way of expressing myself. I'd write emails to my my Dad when I'm in Florida and he always told me he loved reading them because it was as though he was there because of the detail I use, etc.
Then there are people like my Cousin and Wife who love the way I rant and rip into everything. ;)
I'm not getting all defensive by the way - just explaining how it all came about. ;) Again though guys, thanks for the feedback. Does anyone know where I can get a good game themed blog skin ?
My Wife knows a couple of sites, but there backgrounds are either very bland and boring, or the search is utter cack and we get no decent results.
Will probably do another entry over the weekend at some point. ;)
