I really really want this game.
I forced myself not to play through the original xbox version knowing it would come out for 360...

From the trailer the 360 version hasn't exactly been the best port visually! Hopefully the gameplay will be tweaked as I wasn't that impressed with the Xbox (1) version.

I doubt it'll be longer than SR, but.. Maybe. I vaguely remember someone telling me the Xbox1 version was pretty quick.

ok heres the thing i want it but i dont want to spend 40 pound on it as its an oldgame which isnt testing the 360 to its fullist and ea is publishing it so this means you get bog standard menus, box and book. illwait till its 2nd hand or cheeper, but i doo want the game.

WARNING
I will warn you all now, i had this game on the ps2, and trust me it is not a challenging game as much as i hate to admit it.
Godfather's are my all time fave movie, dont get me rong if you get the game it is great at first sight, but it is very, very short.
i literaly completed 97% of the game in a day, then went ahead taking over businesses and geting money to try and extend the joy, but it wasnt enough as there is no replay value.
as for endings, well, it was absolutely awful, terrible.
however, it is a must to at least play if you love the films, as the game ties in with the events of the first movie, for example the scene where the director gets the horses head in his bed, you do that in a mission.
all in all, id realy try before you buy, as like i said it is such an easy game, but for fans you need to at least lend / rent it, as you will love how the game ties in with the original film.
sorry if ive put peoples hopes down, but i like this community, and i couldnt sit back and not say anything.

Well, EA is saying in their TV campaign for the US that it isn't just a direct port, that they've done a lot to make it a respectable 360 title.

fair enough if they have done a lot they i may have to rent it to get a few points on my score ( as i need em, lol )
but trust me, they need to do a lot to make it worth the buying price

I don't know, I really feel like you're lying...
Many gaming sites have said its roughly a 30-40 hour campaign, plus much more to do. Even if you played for the entire 24 hours of a day you wouldn't beat the campaign, unless you're some sort of gaming God..
The game has potential, I had it for the PS2 and I wasn't impressed, I forgot all the details as it was ages back, but the car handling was terrible, alot worse than SR, the graphics were very, very bland and boring and the city just looked like a zombie town, I barely seen anyone walking about plus most of the shops looked the same.
Won't be buying this anyway, although they have had around 6 months to work on it I get the feeling it will be pretty much the same as the PS2 version.

Nah not impressed, graphics look current-gen and the auto-aiming is old and boring, I want manual aim like SR.

possibly, it could be 30-40 hours if you include the 25 hours of repetitve driving around and taking over businesses, in which every one is almost the same, theres probably about 5, maybe 6 different ones, and trust me the main storywill have you done in no time, after that its pure "been there, done that".
obviously tho i havent heard or seen of the "improvements" they have made to it, but for me personally they would have to do alot to make it truely worthwile, as it is so far from a game you can pick up after completion and play on for for.
When was the last time you were impressed..?
When I played a game that was worth the money, simple isn't it? :)

Sure is. So was my question. When was that?

Seriously, I don't know, you could say I am never impressed, so does that answer your question?

Well, you could answer a game instead of a time, if that makes it easier.
Shenmue on the DC and Mafia on the PC.

I had godfather on the ps2 (boo)
With the 360 power and graphics it should rock. It is a good game except im crap at it.
I just go to a racket shoot my gun as you usualy do and get capped 1000,0000 times and die. Id buy it but ps2 gave me bad experiences of how lame i am at it(:/)
not sure about this, i had the ps2 version and it sucked and was very short, seriously saints row lasts longer.
