Hi again everyone.
I am back online after switching Internetty Providers.
Made the switch from Bulldog to the new kid on the block Xifos.
8meg connection and 100gig of peak time downloads for £24 a month. They also have a decent connection to the Newsgroups which will save me £8 a month :)
Hows everyone been?

£24 a month. :o S'alot innit just for the interweb and the like??
I've been fine though, thanks for asking. :D
That's a rly good price. I'm paying £27 for a 40GB cap. BTW chances are we are going to cancel. BT have fooked us around. We cant phone out and the home hub keeps crashing.

freedom2surf, owned by pipex now i believe
freedom2surf dont do that pachage now. Pipex do but it up to 8MB. Is 2 MB the fastest you can get? If not mayeb you should phone pipex and get upgraded for free.

i can get 4.5mb down my line, but they want me to "regrade" to their cascade package, which is capped. so i dont think i will be. Pipex only own them, they dont have anything to do with running them

Pipex have recently bought Bulldog and Toucan.
Pipex do traffic shaping so thats why I avoided them. Bulldog where great for unlimited downloads, but their customer services and technical helpline are shocking.
I switched due to a real fiasco with them not taking money since Feb even though my billing details hadnt changed. They then decided to suspend my account for non payment. I emailed and phoned them on over 10 occasions since Feb and they still fooked it up.
I also had an intermittent service problem that took them nearly 5 months to fix.
Pipex was a great ISP when I was with them though.
Perhaps you should move over to Pipex then. Just that you would get unlimted and faster speed with Pipex for the same money.

Does every provider in Europe have that download rationing?
pretty much. It sucks. Mainly because are technology sucks in the UK. Are phone lines are old and not very stable and the cap helps to give everyone a fair bit of quality. Or so they say :@

Wow. That's horrible. Is everything nationalized over there?

Is that the bigger version of the one they use on the official demo pods?
Looks sweet nonetheless.
Although not quite as good as my 45 inch DLP ;)
