I am sure 1280-780 is the best possible Widescreen setting for you. I use that on my 45inch HDTV with my Media Centre PC.

1280-720 should be used if your monitor is not Widescreen.

4:3(square) tv signal, 16:9 is wide screen some ofthem resolutions are widescreen andnormal. ifyour playing an old game some of them are made for widescreen some arnt. im guessing you play ona low res when using your oldxbox gamesunless your using them onyour 360.

i think itsjustthe way you picture is set up on your tv, there may be an aspect ratio buttonon your remote try usingthat

I dunno.. Really though, you should just play in the screen's native resolution.

plug your 360 into a normal TV not via the VGA cable, then boot it up, go to the display settings, change to 50hz or 60hz (dont know which one you need) then plug it all back into the monitor and jobs a good en
