Just a quick note to say this game is fantastic. Lush enviroments make a change from the bland - but still a top game - of Dynasty Warriors 5.

Great characters and stunning arrange of moves and combination of.

I recommend this to anyone who loves hack and slashes.

Dynasty Warriors 5 has made me realise how much fun hacking and slashing games can be, so N3 is a game I would quite like to play. However for now I'm going to keep my money and aim to buy Samurai Warriors 2, as that's going to be similar to Dynasty Warriors so I'll know I'll enjoy it.

I do plan to play Nintey Nine Nights sometime thoguh. ^_^

brought it this morning but gonna give it my step bro for his birthday lol played it for an hour or so brilliant scenery, characters but the AI of the enemies is appauling lol plus its just lacking something for it to beat dynasty warriors lol

This game gets better and better but also very very very very very hard. Go through a huge level to the end, die, then start again from the begining. Still brill though and the lighting effects are great esp when you pull of a special move. A little unclearer than DW5, but just as good if not better.

The demo was solid, but I found that if you just go straight to the end, only fighting in the battles on the way, and not explore the map, you have much more health to kill the troll.

I'll probably buy this much further down the line, there's so many good releases coming that I wont be able to afford.

i got to like the 5th level and got stuck on a boss lol i mean i havent been stuck on a boss since playing against doctor robotnics from sonic lol

im really enjoying n3. the lack of an game save feature is a problem though. But racking up a 1000+ combo is pretty cool.

as all hack n slash game levels are pretty muck the same i might just stick with the demo, im also doing that with saints row as well lets face it the only reeson people play game like that is to go on killing rampages, wich u can do perfectly well on the demo as theres no time limit and the areas a decent size-u probably think im strange so ill just quietly slink away now

You could have the same view on many different genres though, like beat 'em ups, racing, sports titles etc. Full games give you much more enjoyment, other wise games would only need 1 level.

Whoa mate, I understand what you mean about N3 being a hack 'n' slash, but Saints Row? There's so much more to that game then fighting, Slay. I don't get how you can say that is a hack'n'slash in any way but one.

I assume you think GTA is a hack n slash too, then? :brow: :s

imo, empires yes, 6, probably not, but it is a quality game, can be frustrating when you get right to the end of a level and have to do it all over cos you die, but still a top game

n3 wont be as tactical out-of0-game will it??? i probaly going to wat ubtil DW6, i not even got my 360 yet + just cause, pgr, Obliv + DEFINITLY smackdown look good and are worthy of my money!!! :):D:)

Ahem! yes I bought it and its a decent enough game. I've completed it about 90%. I just need to level up all the characters available to level 9 and complete every mission with an A rating or better to get an achievement. Already have 500 points so far and I'm counting ;). I think I can get all these achievements for once and have made it a personal challenge to do so.

I would have seen all the characters endings its just I saved over the wrong save twice and had to start 2 characters all over again from level 1 which had annoyed me greatly but its due to my own error.

This achievement is extremely deceiving. Most people assume that all you have to do is get every character to level 9 and you’ll get the achievement. That’s not true. What you really have to do is get every character to level 9 than re-beat the entire game (redo every single mission) with all 7 characters at level 9. I know it’s dumb but that’s how it works. Some people think it’s a glitch but it isn’t.

Where to level for each character:

Inphyy: Fort Wyandeek (explore all areas branching off)

Aspharr: Fort Wyandeek (explore all areas branching off)

Myifee: Pholya Flatlands (when you have to stop the goblins going across the bridge which is the area with the block rate, don’t let the block rate hit 100.. just keep waiting and waiting until you get bored than finish it off)

Dwingvatt: Bastide of Varrgandd (make sure to kill as many guys as you can)

Tyurru: Pholya Flatlands

Klarrann: Pholya Flatlands (not a lot of kills but the orbs received are A LOT and it will save a lot of time instead of Fort Wyandeek)

Vigk Vagk: Pholya Flatlands (there is 4 bosses in this and you gain a lot of experience off them. Don’t use Bastide of Varrgandd even though you receive more orbs, your experience doesn’t add because the bosses drop 3 bonuses XP tombs and you get 12 in total. If you want to save time do Pholya Flatlands).

No no stick with Koei and buy Samurai Warriors 2 - miles better than N3 (which kind of contradicts this thread :s )

For some reason i prefer SW2 - characters are better, it's miles longer/more to do and is playable across live and if you shop around you can get it for under £30

Really enjoying Nintey Nine Nights, apart from when I die and start off the whole mission again. I end up whining to HotFish like a little baby. :D

no games in this genre can beat dynasty warriors imo, its the original and best, and they kept getting better, maybe too much of the same in the previous ps2 upgrades, but still quality games , great to vent some frustration :)

No SW2 is DW! It is the spin off, whereas DW is China, SW is Japanese. SW is more like the old DW's as in you dont have to capture lands(not allways anyhow) you have to kill a certain warrior, save certain one's etc and help.

There is loads to do in SW compared to N3's 20 or so very similar messages. In SW there are 7 playable warriors with a further 19 to unlock making 26, hence 19 achievements are for these and the other two are for bodyguards. There is a survial mode, online and a monopoly style game. And it's bloody hard but not as frustrating as N3 can be.

Im playing this game at the mo and one of the Achievements is Clear all stages with an "A" rank or greater.I have got a few "S" is that better then the "A" i think it is but i not to sure can anyboby help me cheers
