Gcse Results

Ugh like tomorrow I have to go into school and see what my results are. To be honest I am preatty worried as I am sure I failed on all of the subjects.

Is there anyone else getting the Results tomorrow.. And what do you think you will get or ont you care to much ?

I ent getting my results but my younger brother is... he seems more concerned about how to "celebrate" his results rather than beening actually concerned with what he gets.

I tell you what and this is no lie...i have only been asked a few times in my life about my grades and i left school 12 year ago!

I have been to college, gained a degree in accounts and they never asked me then as my courses were paid by my employers.

Dont worry - loads of my friends have top notch degrees and they work in bars etc as they cannot find jobs. Get a job like a plummer - my brother earns in excess of £500 a week for sitting on his arse.

By the way - i gained ten all @ A* to C

GCSE's have only one use, to get you into college, after that you'll never need em, just get 5 C's and your sorted

Yeah but if I can I want to go to go back to school thats why I am worried that I wont get 5 c's. I know I can get an appretice job but I would rather dos something else and better. Screw the pay I want something I can enjoy.

I wouldn't be concerned you can get into college with no GCSe's or it means normally that you spend an extra year at college doing some gap course or something.

As someone else said, life's what you make it. In the end yourll all end up 6feet under with nothing but a headstone saying who you arwe and I doubt your'll be able to stick your CV on it.

I got almost the exact same thing.

2 B's, 3 C's, 3 D's and F (< in art!)

The F wasn't my fault though, my coursework got stolen the day it had to be handed in, and no one would do anything about it. As for the rest of the grades, I didn't do any coursework for any of them other than I.T and Maths, and I still got my grades.

Already guarenteed 2 B's (maybe higher) form Business Studies, then I need another 2 C's or more to get into college - that should be done easily. So im not even really bothered about tomorrow, unlike most people who think the worlds going to end.

What annoyed me about getting my results was that before I was told that I done my exams that I was going to get an A in RE based on my Coursework...

I ended up with a C, I must of done really bad in my Exam.


The only thing I remember from Results Day was no one ever got what they were expecting good and bad!

Right guys I am seriously worried bout my GCSE's. I am a bright person right and a few years ago I was expected to be gettings B's and the odd A's. Thing is now I am being predicted to get D's, and I really do want to be getting my C's. I just want to know how important in your opinion really are GCSE's. I mean teachers are obviously going to be biased in towards trying to get you to do as well as you could, and they make it seem a big deal (like your life is over) if you don't get C's. So yeah, if I end up getting no C's will I be doomed to be working as a dustbin man?

I think I just get a letter home from the school giving me my results as I only took a 25% Science exam and a 20% English exam.

basically you'll be fine, its best to get 5 C's, especially one in english, you cant get into uni without an english GCSE.

My mate went on from school to do a music course, it required 5 C's or above, one of them being music. he got 4 C's, got a D in music, got on the course (Y)

Anyway, just went and got my results. :D

I wasn't expecting ANY A's, I was predicted 2 B's, 3 C's and the rest C's. Which is merely average.

I ended up with 3 A's (:o) I cannot believe it, I am over the moon! In Business Studies (2 A's) and in ICT. Yey!

Then I got 4 C's in Maths, Graphics, English, English Lit.

And then 2 D's in Science and another D in Relious Studies.

OMG Cannot get over it. :D

I got better then I though as the majority of my treachers were predicting me on a D/E last year for all my results but I showed them.. Well a little.

3 C's, for Maths, English and English Liturature. Bot the English there are a massive shock. You know you have to compared poems and that. I read non of that book and compared them all on that day. I was so shocked to get that.

4 D's.. umm hwat subjects were they, Graphics (Bloody Exam ruined me there from a C), History, RE, Business Studies (Should have got a C there. :#)

E for Science, didnt do well in my modulars so I wasnt exspecting much there...

F for German, I didnt turn up for most of the tests =/

U for ITC, I gave up with the Coursework after 1 months of lessons and then started to do my own thing and I didnt turn up for the exam as I had no chance =/

Didn't bother going into school today to get my results, I'll wait to get the letter home or will wait until school stars again to get them. I'm not too fussed as I haven't taken all my exams yet.

I'm the year below them lot. For some bizarre reason teachers in my school had the pupils in my year at school do a couple of exams early, 25% English and 20% Science. I don't see a point in biking it to school just to know the results of that.

No we don't retake lol, whatever I got in those two papers will go towards my final grade in those subjects.

+ I had to do mocks on every subject a few weeks before hand, including Science and English lol.
