360 needs to get itself sorted

Hi guys, been on Hol so haven't posted in a while.

Yep, last night I got the "3 rings of death" once i turned on my 360, which hadn't been on for a month.

The positive out of all this is I brought my 360 from Choices Video, and I took it back saying I got the 3 rings of death, gave them the console, with all cable etc in the box, and they gave me a BRAND NEW BOX with the console inside. :o

Now that rocks, but, I will most probley be selling this console and buying a PS3, the 360 is to errorey (just made up a new word sorry).

Shame you had a problem. I have only had my 360 freeze a few times on the dashboard, but that is not a problem and is easily reset.

There are some high quality games available with the catalogue growing every week.

I would stick with it at least until the PS3 has been out a few months to see how the consoles perform and then go with the one with the franchises you like most.

I am a huge Halo fan so the 360 was the obvious choice for me.

Do yourself a favor and don't buy a first-round PS3 in that case, otherwise you'll assuredly be back in erroreyville.

with all next generation consoles they'll be bugs cant ppl remember how many there was with the PS2 not so many with the original xbox!
but u have to wait 6 months to a year to in theory get a bug free console?

Don't go for a PS3, D4VY. We're just experiencing the effects of being relatively-early-adopters. Every console has problems, just get maybe a 2 year warranty from MS or something, and then sooner or later if it keeps breaking, you'll get a good one that's out of the load of early bugs.

Same thing is going to happen with the PS3, for sure.
