Okay, Im just asking but what do you think are the Most Popular single games ever? Im asking you to put 5 together and list em in order. Here is mine.

1. The Pokemon Blue & Red (And that is not based off sales)
2. Super Mario 64
3. Halo: Combat Evolved
4. Zelda: OoT
5. CounterStrike (The original, not source)

Your opinions on your own top 5? Remember, these aren't my favorite nor am I a fan of the Mario or Counterstrike series but what are the most generally popular games worldwide.

Lol... this is based on up to now, with exceptions to graw and other new games for 360( they're new gen games, great and cool) but they lack replayability and super fun like some of the games i listed ><; and i actually couldnt think of a 5th good one so i just added mario kart lol

None? None of you thought that SMB 3 is in the top 5 most popular games of all time? And only one of you puts Tetris? One of you decides to throw in Sonic (although not Sonic 2, but, hey. I can't complain about everything). People are getting too caught up in recent flash in the pans.

Well, I've tried three times to start a list, but every time I do I'm confused by the.. 'rules' of this thread. Is this based off of sales or something less tangible?

Because you're using the word 'popular' to describe something that doesn't have that much to do with popularity, and demanding we don't use tangibles, which is effin' confusing. You seem to be asking about the most influential, or most memorable, or both. Unfortunately, often times these games are far from the mainstream. Which isn't popular.

yeah id probably swap out half life for halo
then id like em all, never really played half life, so i get to experience it afresh on the 360, hopefully they got them black hole grenades in the 360 version :cool:
