Normal Headphones on 360

Hey,

All i wanna do is use normal headphones on the 360. Does anybody know which 1's actually work? I bought a headset but u don't get any game sound thru it, it's specifically for talkin. i want headphones cos i wanna play it on my pc monitor but dont have the inputs for the optical lead i have with my vga cable. So i obviously don't wanna play it without sound, that'd suck.

So if any1 knows of a way, or a link to some headphones, please let me know.

If you have your hi-fi nearby, you can output the sound through that and just plug your headphones in. I have the same problem, though. My music centre is across the room, so I have my 360- plugged into a 5.1 surround system....with the sound loooow. Only time get to blast out the noise is when the missus goes out. (:/)

Yes if you have a hi fi plug the l and r audio leads (the red and white ones) into your hi fi instead of the tv.

I had to cut the rubber band off the top of the wire the one that holds all 3 plugs togeter so i could make the leads longer so it would reach my amp.If your going to do this be carefull because i nearly cut the wire in half its easy if you be patient.

If you really want to use the headphones for your 360 like i do your best of getting a decent hi fi or a surround system witha headphone socket mate!You will also need an xbox advanced vga hd cable aswell if you want to play through an lcd monitor and be able to get sound through a hi fi i think!

There isnt any other way that we know of.

You could get a 2 RCA to 3.5mm for putting sound into PC microphone hole & playing sound through PC like that.

If you didn't want to use PC you could get the 2 RCA to 3.5mm male, then attach on the end of that a 3.5mm female to female (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hosa-GMM-303-3-5mm-Female-to-3-5mm-Female-Coupler_W0QQitemZ190012665986QQihZ009QQcategoryZ23 783QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) & plug your headphones into that hole.

What he's talking about is headphones you can hear all of the audio through, not just a headset.
