Are you an aggressive gamer?

Are you? I think it's interesting knowing how people play games.

For example, you get the ego-driven gamer who buys a game to get all the achievements to build up his score then swaps it to do the same with another game until he has been through every game the shop has to offer.

Then you get the casual gamer who just buys the game to pass time with while he waits 6 hours on his girlfriend getting ready for a candle-lit dinner at McDonald's.

But the thing that interests me is how they play the game, some people are as cool as a cucumber while others, like myself go all guns blazing and don't stop shouting and screaming until the hole on Tiger Woods is finished etc.

My dad often barges in and says turn it off, but why? some might find it strange I sit and play a game for hours while ramming my controller off the bed etc, but in my opinion it just urges me to play the game even more as I don't want to be beaten by the AI.

I am often playing WE10 on the PS2 and in the last 20 minutes I am being ripped off to the extremes yet instead of turning it off I grind it out, slavers dripping like a rottweiler and screaming like I have mental problems, yet I can breathe a sigh of relief when the final whistle goes, THEN I turn the fecking thing off once I have won my battle.

So do you shout and scream when you die at GRAW? do you fly into a fit of rage when you get rammed off the track on PGR3? or do you laugh it all off while making sure your controller remains intact?

This isn't a rant or whatever, as I said I am interested to see if people are like this too and if they ain't what they make of it, and don't take offence to the "ego-driven" thing, it's all I could think of this early:)

I'd call myself an aggresive gamer tbh, I think Halo got me started on that side of things, I get so frustrated sometimes when things aren't going right, and on an occasion or 2, if I felt that if it was due to me team mate, I've deleted them off my FL, after calling him a thing or 2, then re-added them later, only to do the same.

I also shout alot when playing single player games, when going through COD2 on Veteran, you could hear me down the street, and anyone I was chatting to at the time over XBL would find it hilarious, and I'm twice as aggresive on Geometry Wars.

I tend to laugh at myself for not being able to do it. But overtime I do get quite pationate (as I have recently discovered on FIFA) and leap up and down on the sofa making squealing noises. :D

I swear I used to get when people pushed me off the tracks in PGR 3.....I don't play the game anymore....I'm starting to lose an interest in games cuz of so many cheaters I come across

Shame but there is nothing more satisfying than finally beating them. Evem if they quit early or do whatever you still know you can beat them and thats what keeps me going.

I get mighty pished off as well, though. Games like Pro Evo I can't stand being beaten by dodgy computer AI. It all seems so fake sometimes, and that's why I've pretty much given up playing the computer, and just play on Live instead. Master Leagues used to be so much fun, but oh so frustrating when I was getting beaten.

I get kind of mad at GRAW as well. Not PDZ or BF2 because I know I'm not the greatest at them, but when I get sniped on GRAW when I know I could have taken them out had I been a fraction of a second quicker, then that gets right on my nerves.

Racing games don't really get me aggressive. They're more of a laugh.

And D4VY, I promise not to take you off the track next time... unless you do it to me first, that is. :D

No dirty driving unless I've been the victim of it myself. I swear. :D

My feedback on Live says I am an aggressive player. Most of this was gained whilst playing PGR3 over live.

Some people take that game far too seriously.

I keep the Headset unplugged as I have a tendency to have gaming tourettes. And shout barrages of abuse for no apparent reason.
