Pes 5 online

I tried to find someone to play pes 5 online the other night, i was waiting for ages but no1 took up the game i created and i couldnt find anyone to play on the quick match, dunno y that happened? maybe no1 was playing that online? :unsure:

It's wierd. Sometime's it can be really hard to find and join a match...you're best off organising someone you know to play, or who is on your frined's list, so one can create a game and the other can join. :)

Okay, it does take a while but when you play it constantly like me:p you ll know the best way to go straight into a game. Opti Match and search for your opponets. If you cant find any then muck about with the Cooperitive play option.

So you will get a list of a couple of matches. DO NOT automatically select one. You will be met with CHALLENGE NOT ACCEPTED or whatever. You wait until you see a symbol at the side of thier tag. It will be either
>>>or >> or >

This is the connection but dont worry if you choose a red as I have ararely had lag. But when you see one of they signs then you can choose a game. If you are met automatically with "Not accepted" then they have started the game, if the game pauses for a moment then "Not accepted" appears then the host has recieved your challenge but doesnt want to play you...because he knows he will get beat:D

If you're more specific in your search, you'll find more games.

For example, searching for "Club Teams only" and "10 minute" things rather than "ANY" for them finds more matches.

Seems a bit strange, but meh, there you go. :D

i played my second online game (i played my first game when i had my old xbox last year, won 1 - 0)
yesterday in my first game i chose italy, as did my oponent and i lost 1 - 0 :( then i played him again, i chose brazil, he chose italy, i went 1 nil up, a great header from a corner from ze roberto, then he scored 4 :@ mainly coz i kept running the keeper out and he knocked it across the box and had a player running on to it and just slotted it home.

Has anyone got any tips on how to be sucessful online?

You've just got to basically learn how people play online - pretty much everyone adopts a similar sort of style.

Cutting back when they get to the byline, closing down your nearest defender on goal kicks, putting a man on the line on free kicks, and things like that. The majority of players will do these things, so if you can find a way to combat them, then that helps.

And then just basically find a way you want to play. Never hoof the ball up the park, as you very rarely win it, and are just basically giving the ball away. Try and pass quickly, and if you're going on a counter attack, hold LT when making each pass, as the player who has made the pass then darts forward. This gets you a lot of players running into attacking positions.

I can't really explain a whole lot of the tactics that myself and other experienced players used - you just need to sort of play loads of guys and the more you play, the more you'll learn in the way of clever and useful tactics.

Ok, i wondered why when i took goal kicks i kept losing the ball.

Aye, like AJ said, I have played online loads...mainly on PC...and there are certain thing's that every player will do, like closing down the defender on goal kicks - basically just practice practice practice, find a team you are happy with and stick with them! As the more you play with a certain team the more you will get to know them, how they play etc and you will soon have them going how you want.

Tryout different formation and things liek that as you will need to try and stop a player just using a simple cut-back, you will need to find a way to stop this.

Its a bit gay but your opponent will normally use boring tactics!!! Put 2 me on the corner flag and as soon as you can use the counter attck a chip through ball through and you are laughing(Y)
