Strange game this. Honestly. When i first put this into the machine i thought what the fu3k!

The mission's started off, shoot a couple of planes, mission over. Progressed a liitle bit further, same old same old. Then, suddenly, it get's really good. To be honest it got a little better for me when Achilles06 (TractorBoi) on this site told me to change my config setup. It got alot easier to play and harder to put down.

I know see why the mission's started of that way, because they get bloodly longer and harder. At this time of writing i cannot say how many senarios ther are, but they seems a few. Also, choose a certain mission and a different path opens up to complete the senario, hence replayability value.

Now the important bit for some - graphics. Well they are poor in some cases and brill in some. The game uses satelite imaging, a lot like google earth, to plan it's missions, therefore over cities and deserts/jungles they are good, over sea's not so.

Gameplay is good and seems to be getting better. The menu's are typical japanese cartoon/manga style characters. Games made by Taito. published by Ubisoft - so it's a hell of a lot different then Blazing Angels.

There is also a live mode. I haven't played it yet, but Achilles06 (TractorBoi) is going to leave a review of this. He said that it was a brilliant mode of upto 8 players. The game also has a challenge mode that works along the princpals of the main game.

When i find out more i will post, but overall a game that is very good when you put the time and effort into it (which isn't that much really).

There are 38 achievements to get and these seem pretty straight forward, i think most involve completeing certain missionsto unlock a new aircraft.

PS Forgot to mention a key point of the game. Go up/tilt to far or much in your aircraft and the screen goes grey. Drop down to fast etc and the screen goes red. These are meant to be effects g-force effecting blood to drain away or overflow the brain! Hence it's title Over-G Fighters.

To start off i agree with everything lenseleven has said about the offline experince and hopfully will update it when he progresses furthur in to the game, Now i've played the Online and Offline side of it and will share my experince of the Online Mode.

Online Quick Review:

To start off with the basics Up to 8 players can all play at the same time, in two men teams.

Theres Arena Multiplay where you play with 8 other people Green, Gold, Red and Blue teams ( Consisting of two per team as stated above ) Which is really fun, as only your team mate can hear you so plotting a plan to take out there jets or there Aircraft Carries is really fun. and a good way to make a lot of friends.

The only disadvantage you have if you only buy this game for LIVE is you wont have a plane...the longer and futhur you progress in Single Player means you can unlock jets such as the F-15J or the F-117A better known as a Stealth Bomber, Which you will unlock during a Stealth Bombing mission ( offline ) where you have to blow up two planes from a great height with laser guided bombs.
So my advice to you is to play offline and try and complete as much as you can until you play online, its well worth it, as you'll be getting blown to bits by MiG's.

The other Online Game mode is '' Versus '' which is a 4v4 on-slaught of just fast paced action, ( Green and Gold Teams ) which really makes the game come alive in its own way as long as you have a good team behind you and willing to help each other out its always going to be good and never to repetitive.

On another note, the Menu is easy and fast to flick through and theres always someone to play with. and no matter where the host is from or other members they never seems to be any lag, which is always a plus. dont wanna be shot down by P73 Missile because of lag.

Customization: i'll touch on this a tad there isnt much to go in to, but the only Custom bits that i've seen so far in the game is choosing you Weapon Settings and Fuel, But if your not happy changing these parts its no problem as the computer will auto pick for you,

You can change ur Air-to-Air milliles, Air-To Ground Missile, what type of rockets you have, which is really good because if your just on a mission to blow up ground forces ( I.E. Tanks ) then obviously you'll want to take as many bombs as you can.

I think i've touched on most of what Multiplayer Side Of What Over G Fighters has, But if you're stuck looking for a game and want something fresh and new. I'd Recommend Over G Fighters.

Hope this helped As its my first review ever :P
