View Full Version : I think I am turning to the dark side
OK now I am getting scared. So every Friday if you didn't know I go out into town and hit a specific club called Berties. Now in this club they have what's called the "rock bar". They play "rock music". Examples are Trivium, Metallica, Jimmy Eat World, them idiots called Red hot chili peppers etc.
Now most of this is good music and some of it is quite heavy so you get the odd mosh pit going. If you get thrown in there be prepared to experience death as you get chucked around like a rag doll.
... anyway some of this music is also things like Dirty Pretty thing, The Killers, The Kooks, and lots (basically there album) of Fall Out Boy. Now I like all this music. But then it kinda hit me. I look around and all I see are.... EMOS.
I mean what the hell do they think they are doing here. If it's not chavs getting in your way in the club it's emos in the rock bar. I just can't win.
So there's me looking at everyone who seem to be wearing... I duno... emo clothes. Then I look down at me and I am wearing a smart black shirt with black trousers and my black DC shoes. So what am I? Normal? I doubt...
I can only think I am half emo half... me.
So what do I do? Do I just let go and go out tomorrow and buy emo gear or do I go out and buy normal clothes. Do I get my hair cut short or keep it long (5 inches) and get it emo styled? Do I go out and buy loads more rock albums like Rammstein, Bullet for my valentine etc or do I go and buy Fall Out Boys new album?
I'm very scared and very confused. All I know is that I don't want to be a stupid "fresh mate" chav so that means I will wear NO Nike, Adidas etc gear. BTW if your reading this and your wearing any chav gear... run... because I hate you... no I loathe you.

i like all those band, i dont feel the need to wear emo kit, just wear what you want to but as soon as you classyourself as a emokid then you will looase you individuality.

I cannot stand Emo's. I have been to school with too many of them for too long. They are all sad little rebels who think they are hard.
At least you can have a laugh, and get along with some chavs. Whereas Emo's are just people who I cannot commincate with, because they are just...argh, there!

I fell in love with 2 band that I haven't really heard of. My Chemical Romance and AFI. Just try to listen to "I'm not OK" by My Chemical Romance. You will like it I'm sure.
Oh and I got a free AFI t-shirt. It's black with white lettering. I'm wearing it now.... with black jeans and my black emo hair.
The thing is though I can't call myself Emo. I know nothing of the history and I'm a n00b. But EMOS ARE WAY BETTER THAN CHAVS. I want you to think about what you said. Chavs are low life's who all want to grow up to be boy racers when there actually going to be sales employees at big name stores. Emos just drink and bum around there rooms. With some future prospect of being in a band.
I want to be a games designer lol.

AFI are alright, There older stuff is much better though, if you like AFI, then you will most probably like Tiger Army, some good stuff.

Rock bars are pretty cool. My mate plays in a band and goes to loads of rock venues its pretty cool. His band Kutosis actually supported Babyshambles in london along with a couple of other bands :cool:
Heres a snippet of what they sound like and the guy on vocals is my mate who I was on about!
