Far Cry is the film adaptation of the popular video game created by Crytek Studios. The film will be directed by Uwe Boll and will star Michael Paré. Filming was set to begin in late 2005 but was post-poned.

Plot

Jack Carver, a retired Special Forces Officer who now is transport for hire, by people and cargo. On one particular trip Jack ferries a photographer 'Val' who wants to photograph old Japanese WW2 bases on some of the Micronesian islands. His boat is later attacked and destroyed by an unknown party while Val has gone away. Surviving the attacks Jack must find Val and uncover what is happening on those dark and mysterious islands.
