No, no. He kills someone in our normal timeline. Then he goes back a day. Now there are 2 RBFs walking around. The original RBF still kills him, but the second RBF simultaneously attracts a lot of attention for an alibi. Upon finishing the murder, the original RBF goes back in time to become the second RBF, while the second RBF continues on.
