I saw a bit of the first season of BB here in norway, and it got boring after a while.
But you all should try to see the one from brazil they have sex all the time.
The season that goes here now is like Norway against Sweeden.

24 is a tired formula whereby each episode has to be designed in so a way as to keep the viewer watching next week. It's furthering America's propaganda as the heroes of the world fighting bad people. And excellent pace isn't throwing a camera around, cutting to a new shot every few seconds, and panning around the characters. It's dire and repetitive. If you have seen the first season, you've seen them all.

I like Big Brother, but not enough to call it quality TV. I like the drama, the spontaneity, and the randomness of it all. All the contestants are idiots, and we get to watch the Producers of the programme poke the idiots with a stick for a few months, like a rat in a cage. That's funny.

yeah 24 isthe same every season if it aintbroke dont fix it. i agree the with your comments on brainwashing americans but ithink its mostly done through the news, they used a lot of scare tactics fear indused storys to get public support for the war in afganistan rightafter 9/11.

big brother is craptv but i like it i know its a contradtiction in terms but it makes sence trust me.

Glasgow is generally a very tolerant society. We have had a large influx of Asylum Seekers over the past few years and the whole melting pot has changed for the better. There are still areas in Glasgow where a strange face will attract the wrong sort of attention, but that is slowly changing.

Noone needed to be scared into war against Afghanistan. If you guys are going to bash the neoconservative agenda to ruin the world in order to line the pockets of a small corporate aristocracy, at least get it right.

Well, I'm also not sure how '24' ties into the neocon propaganda either. Seems more like a formulaically derived attempt at shock value for easier tension, rather than a crafted attempt at boosting 'Merica's world image.

Hmmm...gotta pull that one up. Glasgow has the highest murder rate of all cities in Europe....it's so high that it shoots Scotland itself to having the second highest murder rate of Western European countries.

Figures show your 3 times more likely to get murdered in Scotland than you are in England or Wales.

Still...it has some nice ponds though.

If I remember correctly I said "America's Propaganda", not Conservative propaganda. You know the image where Americans paint themselves as the liberators (Splinter Cell, 24, The West Wing, Full Spectrum Warrior et cetera), but to everyone else, who is well-versed in history, America is an imperialist country. I doubt anyone has to directly influence any of those cited TV series or games, because there is a market for this utter nationalistic drivel - the Americans lap it up.

So, then, your take is that it isn't about furthering America's cause on the global stage, it's just consumer-driven entertainment industry feeding the mainstream America what it wants?
