In addition to the earlier news (http://360monster.com/forum/showpost.php?p=38766&postcount=85) about the price, there's more from Ray Maguire.

No pre-pay card for PS3 online in the UK. Do you guys have cards for Microsoft Points over there?
“And we won’t be launching the pre-pay card for online that was demonstrated at the press conference. It’s not right for the UK – too difficult to launch or manage."
And he confirms it, no 20 GB model for launch.
“The lower-end 20Gb version of PlayStation 3 has no wi-fi, no HDMI and none of the other slots in it, so it’s really a question of where we would position it. It’s more likely that we will only launch the 60Gb version,” said Maguire.
A console that was suppose to be on the market now, so many stories.
It's like football, what today is impossible to happen, like a player transfer, tomorrow it happens and everybody says it's for the best.
Makes sense not launching the 20gb version in the uk but to be honest, it would make sense not to launch it fullstop. No one in their right mind who is thinking about buying the PS3 would buy a version which is ridiculously lacking in comparison to the 60gb version.

But there should always be the option, that way they broaden there market if you deny the opportunity for certain gamers to by the package they believe would best suit them then your failing to catch the one thing that will be the rise or fall of your console (Buyers).
I think giving people a choice to chose wither they want all the features or not will swing the percentage of people who are going to attempt to buy the console on its release.

By leaving out the cheaper option then they're alienating a large percentage of their userbase, the chavs and pikeys. They won't pay £400 just to play the latest 'wikkid game with bangin choons' and will look at the full spec PS3 thinking 'woz a wiffy (wi-fi)?' and what size coins fit in those (mm card) slots. They wouldn't need all the extras.

Yep we do have the cards but I prefer just to use my credit card on Live to buy the points easier and faster.

Against what I said earlier this does make sense I don't know anyone who has actually bought the core pack, I can image a desperate few did when it was first launched but have gone on to buy the necessary bit and pieces that set there console apart from the premium pack.
