Nope, near enough, though. On an 18" Samsung PC monitor, which is about as close to HD quality as you can get without actually being there. :D

I think if you have a nomal TV, NEVER look at someone elses HDTV screen, you will be left feeling very empty when you go home :)

my old tv was shocking for playing games on it had one of them autop resize features and the original remote for the tv was broken so you couldnt play some games because it would auto size. one thing that has annoyed me about my hdtv is that my gamecube looks **** on it

With most games in widescreen as well, that would be really small. Luckily I invested in a 45inch high def screen :)

I use an old 42'' Plasma that has no HD Ready but has a DVI (which is HD! though the old HDMI standard connection until companies gathered together to make a new standard and rip us all of! so my mate says who runs a Currys bratch, hence my cheap goodies). So i connect through VGA (Joytech's) which actually looks better than my new LCD Sony Bravia that has HD components.
Personally i think connecting through VGA is the best and HD is just the new TV for it. I play in 1024 x 768 as it doesn't flicker and hurt my eye's.

The game I get the best benifit from it is GRAW
i dont see much point in spending £1000 pounds on a TV to see a nice shiny blade of grass. ;)

Erm, it depends. I know the HD Mac monitors are really good, so possibly. I would have a try on that, then do it on your normal TV, and see which you prefer.

I would get it hooked up to your TV, so you can be on both at once and yuo don't have to iddle about with wires. :D
But then again, HD > Bogstandard, so it's a toughie

all new monitors are HD
anything that can do 1024x720 resolution is HD (Y)
so any montior is a little HD screen
with the apple cinema display you could buy a KVM switch and switch between imputs
