Does it cost money ? Does anybody know ?

I remember watching a video where this guy showed the people that he was able to change the name of his gamercard, but he didn't say it cost anything.

I got the vibe that it was free by him saying "and you can change it at any time", but now this guy at Team Xbox is telling me that OXM said it costs money to change.

Anybody know..... ? :brow

I'm guessing it is going to work MSN Messenger-esque. I am thinking that it won't cost; but I am not certain.

If that is the case then that would be great. Sometimes you just want to be called something else.

I just got my issue of OXM and it says It may cost a small number of microsoft points to make the switch....tomake sure everybody isnt changing tags everyday.

Im not sure what microsoft points are but I think there the marketplace points

Probably.

So I guess it doesn't literally cost money....just fake points.

Still a good idea though even if it does cost you points. I'm not sure but I think you can earn points by completing games/unlock characters, etc.

Yeah, on the Xbox 360 you can change your gamercard as much as you want for free.

You can't change your Gamertag on the Xbox without getting a new subscription. You CAN change it with the 360,but I don't know how many times. The reason they don't allow you to change your gamertag is so idiots don't cause trouble on games and then change their names to avoid trouble, thus making Xbox live ****ty (it already does have an abundance of idiots on there).

The Marketplace points are point that you BUY,so they DO cost money. It's 1600 points for $20.00. Don't like the idea of Microsoft making you PAY for user created content? Neither do I. I was on board 100% with the first Xbox but i'm really starting to get sick of Microsoft this upcoming generation around trying to milk us gamers for as much as they possibly can.

Everytime Microsoft puts out a new "feature" that costs us MORE money the Nintendo Revolution looks better and better.
