An expected sequel to Sega's Xbox 360 vehicle combat-racing game Full Auto has been newly announced as a PlayStation 3 exclusive. Full Auto 2: Battlelines, the follow-up to the xbox 360 original, according to Sega, "puts high-speed vehicles outfitted with weapons and armor into fully realized and fully destructible urban street environments."
Full Auto 2 is being developed by Pseudo Interactive, and the studio's naturally introducing plenty of new content. Improvements and enhancements include the likes of improved combat and a new Arena Mode supporting teamplay in six levels, with much additionally being made of the sequel's destructible environments - "...dynamically change track conditions to block competitors, open new paths, or crush opponents with falling debris caused by well-timed missile", we're informed.
The game is set to feature 25 vehicles and players will be able to strap themselves in behind the wheel of classic muscle cars, low riders, industrial motors and "monstrous" SUVs and careen around 20+ tracks. Each vehicle in the game will be modifiable. Twenty big weapons will feature in this sequel.
"In the new multi-path single player campaign, players battle to take control of Staunton City by conquering the six different districts and taking control of opponent cars and weapons. The game's six different carnage-filled multiplayer modes, which incorporate team play and objectives ranging from classic deathmatches to unique base assaults and gladiator-style gameplay, deliver a diverse range of competitive options. The sequel implements the fan-favorite Unwreck feature, which allows players to turn back time and take another shot at a treacherous turn, avoid a deadly obstacle, or simply avoid enemy fire", Sega comments.
Sega further promises that "Full Auto 2: Battlelines pushes next-generation technological boundaries with breathtaking displays of destruction, physics, and speed." Stay tuned for more info.
