Saints Row Demo Confirmed! (Plus FAQ)

I don't know about anyone else but I have wanted this game since the minute I heard about it!

The demo might no be for a while, and it may be a little early to start this topic, but if I didn't know about this, i'd want to!

In a Q&A session conducted by msxbox-world with Jacques Hennequet; the senior producer at Volition he provides confirmation that a demo for Saints Row is indeed planned and will be "A large demo". We originally reported this from last years X05 in which a demo was actually planned for November 2005 release. Either way we will all have to simply wait until its ready. We are still unsure whether the demo will be online multiplayer or single player. We'll keep you posted as and when we get more info.

how large is large?
more than PGR3? wasnt that like 1.2gb?
well i bet microsoft could use this as atest to see if people would actually download somethin that big, to check if they could go into direct game downloads. isnt this game open ended like GTA? i could imagine a demo of GTA:SA..... would be massive
i reckon the demo will crack out to about 2gb
hell maybe after you download it and it gets released you will have the option to unlock the full game on it like XBLA titles :unsure:

It's interesting how they're going to make an open ended game a demo....

I think it will be a fine example of on the fly synthesis, and the demo won't be larger than a gig.
