Just a curiosity. How many of you have tried Morrowind (elder scrolls III) for the xbox. How many are avid players. How many are junkies, and How many call themselves experts.

Its a game worthy of a good try. Its and RPG with the benifits of a FPS, and the entire thing is open ended and you are fully in controll of what happends.

Never played it, although Oblivion has me intrigued.
I might have to get it for $10 off ebay to see if I would like Oblivion.

Which slave? the one from Hlad-oad to balmora, or the one in the main quest from tel arun to the zaineb camp to be accepted as ashlander friend? or the slave thats a assassin just west of suran, or the hunt for the slave in suran, or the slaves you need to free for the twin lamps quests? i might be able to help you on those. maybe i will make a help forum topic.

Domfunkle
18/Oct/05, 02:41 PM
yup...its the slave from Hla-Oad..can't find the guy in Balmora I'm supposed to deliver to, looksed everywhere, inside and outside houses...the slave owner said he/she was on the east side of town, but there's no one there to accept the slave...I can't remember the name of the person I'm meant to deliver to and cbf loading up the game all over again just to get the name (xbox vers takes FOREVER to load)...there's another guy I'm trying to help is the person you find on the side of the road who got robbed by a witch and had his special Axe stolen, and he follows you around while you look for the evil witch...

Niccio Dartsmouth
18/Oct/05, 03:19 PM
ok.. the guy your looking for in balmora is right next to Cais's place. (the master blade you are in contact with in the main quest) just hed to the tower in the east, head up the stairwell just south of the tower and the building your facing has a lock level 30 i believe. inside there is the guy. beware though, he will try to kill the slave so you will have to make a decision fast. let the slave die (she has moon sugar stashed in her) or kill off the guy after you get the payment.

as for the guy with the axe.. your looking for cloud cleaver i bet. just northwest of Caldera. if you follow the path northish and keep rightyou will see a path that will kinda trail into the mountain, the witch is up the hill a bit. but beware again, you will be asked to take sides. cloudcleaver is an ok axe, but nothing special other then being unique.

Domfunkle

lock lvl 30 eh? I cant get past a bloody lock lvl 15! How would I get through the door, without picking at the lock or is that the only way?

I got morrowind out of game for just a £5, was addicted to it for about a week and then after exploring the whole map got bored and I haven't played it since.. not bad for a week if you can get it cheap though. Oblivion looks pretty sweet though.

Heh, well I don't currently have an Xbox, so I'll need to wait until December 2nd (at least) to play it.

Will pick it up if I'm ever bored of the launch selection I'll be getting. Which is unlikely, by the way. :D

Wouldnt say I hate it.... but I just think it doesnt work for me. The world is immense, and so are the options, but I cant get used to that 1st person view. Yeah, I know you can switch but you can see the creators didnt create it for 3rd person as it is buggy.

03/Nov/05, 05:31 AM
lol. it is embrassing as my mate keeps laughing at me :( i can't believe i can't get pass this certain part where u have to kill 3 guards and then enter through the gate. i always kill the first two and then always about to kill the third then it does that stupid message. don't let him in.. cause the guard says it and it closes the gate..

it is quite early on. i am no good at rpg's

please don't laugh to hard. i suffer enough abuse from my mates when i told them.

ahhh! trying to get into the Bandit camp eh?

You're not supposed to kill them...just sneak past them...there's a MASSIVE rock on the left of the gate entrance, hid behind that rock until after the 3 bandits walk past you..then run towards the gate making sure you don't get seen...Solid Snake Style! Then once you're in the camp..go for your life killing any bandit you want!

Remember "if at first you don't suceed try and try again" this is brutley honest6 with this part in the game because at first you can try the same thing a hundred times and it will only work once. lol :| :zip:

What you should try and do is take a couple of drinks...say 5...then go through a teleporter...when you come out your screen should be at its fuzziest and you'll throw up..

...this is turning into a Fable thread...

...let's stick to Morrowind...

yeah when you get that disease keep resting over and over again and your strength will go through the roof sorry I can't remember what the disease is called I haven't played it since I beat the game.

Niccio Dartsmouth
09/Nov/05, 03:42 PM
its called corpus disease, you get it after you start the main quest, its like 5-6 quests in. and yes the strength is a glitch in the disease, it perma raises. Fun but not really a fair thing to do. then when you cure yourself, the strength stays.

I just got through running the tribunal quests again, nothing like killing a god for an ending to a quest, then killed the king cause the ******* put a hit out on me. besides i love his ring :) although my game glitched a bit when i hit the king, usually when you kill someone, you get a 1000 gold warrent, all i got was a 40 gold warrent and a lil slap on the wrist. not bad for killing the king. i am currently the head of the imperial legion and house haalalu, and working on the imperial cult. going to try to become the head of every faction there is. Should keep me busy untill oblivion comes out in feb next year. Been playing this game for 3 1/2 years now, not much i don't know, but tell ya what, never had a single char become the head of all the factions, so it should be fun.

blackhawk
16/Nov/05, 03:59 PM
yea morrowind will definantly keep you busy until then. what with the 200-300+ hours for a char :D

there comes a point where you have played it so much that you invent your own rp for the game, i have played everything from disease carriers, to possessed weapon holders (like umbra), to just about everything you can make up, candlemakers, tailors, armorers, shopkeepers, and what have you. my current char is a possesed weapons holder called Fury. its a wild char that will dominate and lead the land with his unstopable rage. oh well, nuff rambling..

you can become a werewolf through the bloodmoon quests in the expansion. either during the main quests were you either choose to become a werewolf and finish the quest as that or get cured and finish the quests regularly. or either when you finish the main quests you get a ring where you can transform at will.
and to be a vampire its easier before you get to the part in the main quest in the original game where you get corpus disease. anywho you just go to one of the dungeons that have vampires in it and contract the disease from them and wait 3 days? to become a vampire.
some of this might not be right i havent played in quite a while :(

Yes you can on the GOTY (xbox) or the expansions (pc) its a wild trip, there are three ruling vampire families. One for the thieves, one for the warriors, and one for the mages. and when you finish all the mini quests as well as the family quests, you get to cure yourself of the vamiprism. and as for werewolf, its a trip, you can cure yourself right away, or play the rest of bloodmoon as a werewolf and cure yourself later. BUT!!! either way, you get a special ring that will allow you to change into a werewolf ANYTIME you wish :)
