Xbox Live! Arcade Comments

What started out as a simple idea for pick up and play games on the 360 has turned into a goldmine for great ideas and a potential rebirth of some old classics. I can see the Arcade getting bigger in the coming months as more and more titles appear. Not only the big titles like Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat etc, the Arcade also give indie devs the chance to get their ideas into peoples hands.

I would like to get the Live! Arcade information in 360Monster flowing out of the forums and onto the main site for everyone to see. One of the ideas I am currently toying with is having the usual review/preview etc but also an area to talk about potential Live! Arcade games that have not been seen yet because the developers are too small to shout it out from the rooftops.

This is still in the chat phase at the moment but any comments or suggestions are welcome.

With pages for each games etc.

A leaderboard for the main games like Geometry Wars and Hexic would be great as well.

I dont think you should include a link per say to games that people would like to see on Live. Thats more fitting for a thread on the forum. Though If you had a section devoted to all XBOX Live arcade games, review previews etc I would be in for it.

Definatly thats what I was thinking after I read that, a section dedicated to Xbox Live Arcade, with leaderboards ,preferably of only 360Monsters, User made Previews and Reviews, Information on Tournaments for games like Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat. That would be awesome and I'm sure the fine folks over at BigLime can make it look sick!

It is possible that this could work. The other idea would be to write up previews and do some screen shots of new titles. Things are still up in the air but movies of arcde titles may work with our new hosts and servers.

As u may know? my 360 died on 12/05/06. UPS collected it Mon 15/05 and it was returned Thurs 18/05. 3-day turnaround 3 cheers for M$. Anyway, i was asking about Live arcade to a customer support staff and apparently there's a new live update which includes a load of games coming to Arcade by June 2nd. She said (girls dont lie do they??) that SF2 and Texas Holdem and a sega game are coming.50 sega games confirmed b4 y/end.

She also said a load of Midway titles and that apparently Namco are in talks to release old classics, and recent titles such as ridge racer. Come on.

Live arcade is what dev's are going crazy over. What selling the likes of Gaunlet for £3.41 (400Points) to thousands, which was part of a comp disk released with 20 + titles for £15. No wonder they are siging up!

Anyway, more than interested in suggesting and submitting to forums. Cya's :)

What a blinder that was. Remember playing it on my Master System all them years ago! Thrashing around in a 928s. Fond memories.

I thought at first that arcade wouldn't work and i wouldn't like it but i play more on arcade now than i play with the 360 games must say very enjoyable.
