Street Fighter II release/price

According to VGM's latest podcast, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting will be released for the Xbox Live Arcade by the end of April. VGM reports that the game will cost between $10–15 (800 to 1,200 points). The news comes via Microsoft Canada's Spring Fling event

Sounds bout right to me. It's a good classic, therefore meaning it isn't going to be one of the cheaper arcade games. Chances are I wont get it, but we'll see. (Y)

I'd go 800 for it too. Now I just have to finish Oblivion before it's released. (Oblivion Owns my Soul... must get 100% completion!) BTW- I thought it was supposed to be out by the end of March. What happened there, and where is the Poker Game as well?

1200 isnt THAT much, I mean I thats only $15, the Street Fighter gmae for the Xbox was $25.

i would spend more on arcade just nothing apeals to me im wanting some monkey island games and speed ball stuff i played when i was a kid.

Ive just bought crystal quest and geometry wars both for 800points now thats worth it (Y) . Also ive bought wik fable of souls for 800points but 800 is the most ill spend on a arcade game even a classic like street fighter :)

Microsoft has stated that SF2 and Cloning Clyde will indeed be the next additions to the XBLA. So your word won't be -completely- ruined, even if they are a little late, so long as nothing else leapfrogs.

Yeah, I think they usually officially announce releases a few days before, though, so it looks like we're going to miss Phatmuther's deadline.

Most people seem to have died down with the hype over this now. Of course people are still really looking forward to it - but I think everyone just got sick of building themselves up for each new release date, only for nothing to happen. ;)

yeah they want to get these games because from their prmises they havent delivered that many games to arcade i was hoping to have the choice of hundreds of games

Things are coming. But in honesty, I'd rather have a trickle of games like Cloning Clyde, Outpost Kaloki, and Hoopworlds than a flood of Jousts and Robotrons and Mutant Storms. Don't get me wrong. I'd like some classics too. But as people have pointed out, navigating the Marketplace and the Arcade is gonna get crowded enough as it is, without the entire llibrary of MAMEishness.
