Blazin Angels Help!!!

Hi all,

Been playing Blazing Angel and I am completely stuck.

It the attack on Rabual, objective is to destory airport and support bombers, now i get most of the airport and planes n the ground but no matter what i also fail the mission.

So far I first take out the planes parked on the ground then take out the hangers, tried everything but keep failing, doing my head in now so any help or guidance would be appriecated.

Like hitting my head against a brick wall, turned my 360 off for an hour or 2 before the controller goes through the window hehehehehehe

Surely someone on here has completed it and can give some pointers? The game so far has been entertaining if a little blacd, but I'm happy to play through it if I could circumvent this annoying difficulty spike!

I got stuck on that bit for ages, really annoying.

I finally got past it but TBH I don't know what I did differently.

I stormed the airport and made a few runs past, shooting the planes that were taking off. Then when the call comes to help the bombers I went off and did that.

Then when the bombers go on their bombing run I concentrated back on the airport.

Hope this helps a bit, but I doubt it :(

It does help, I keep thinking I'm doing something wrong - it certainly sounds like you did exactly what I'm doing... Must need to kill more...

It is one of the most annoying missions on the game (and there's lots of them).

I had to turn it off in the end, went back to it the next day and still couldn't do it :(

Like I said, don't really know what I did differently when I finally made it, but boy was I gald to see the word 'checkpoint' flash up on the screen :D

Yep numerous complaints about this mission.

Basically your objective is to protect the bombers, you need be launch missles down at the airport, and quickly turn back towards your bombers, PROTECT THEM AT ALL COSTS!

Try and get a few missiles off down on the airport now and then, if you aim them right, you can fire them from a distance.

Try and be as quick as you can taking out the fighters, the quicker you take them out, the more chance you have of keeping the bombers alive.

Keep trying, you'll get it..wait until the river mission! :D

is angels on live?

Yup, Angels is Live'able and pretty good - have had some nice lag free dogfights. Good games too as well as deathmatch, things like protect you airfield etc...

The help you guys need - is it the mission where you're attacking the airfield ? If so, you'll notice you can see the base just over a hill before the cutscene kicks in. Launch all your missles quickly at the base and you may get a couple of kills while the cutscene plays. Either switch your guys to attack (or defend if you want better chance of the Ace rank) and zoom up the runway, gunning down enemy planes before they can take off.

Attack all targets that are surrounded by a red square first, along with all the planes sitting by the runway. If a few get off the ground, engage them so they can't go after the bombers, or set your wingmen to attack to keep them busy. Make sure you take out the anti aircraft guns before the bombers arrive, or at least the majority of them. Once AA is out of action, concentrate on destroying enemy planes while taking potshots at the remaining ground targets.

Exactly that, specially the "aim them right and take them down from a distance". The mission is a pain in the ass and to be honest, it does require some good flying skills. And as already mentioned, before the cutscene kicks in, launch all your missiles on the airport and put your guys on attack mode. That way, while the cutscene is running, your wingmen will have reached the airport and luckily taken out some heavy artillery.

And as Russ said, wait til you get to the river mission.

I did this first time ???

All I did was attack all the planes on the ground (put your team on attack, and also order Frank to fire at will) I also took out the traffic controll tower first off, then took out the AA emplacements, then went back and saved the bombers and finally went in and finished the final AA vehicles on the runway!!!!

This level also driving me nuts going throw the bloody game shortly must be the hardest 360 game out there (trying to ACE every level seems impossible)
