My uncle works for EA Sports Canada and has been assigned work on Fifa 2007. He has asked me to get feedback from my age group and region for improvments to Fifa. So heres your chance to make suggestions directly to EA Sports.
My Uncle has only recently moved to EA and doesnt really know much about the Fifa games so he needs all the positive and negative feedback he can get. Thank You in advance.

The shooting is terrible, tell him that. Tell him to copy Pro Evo's and he might be onto something. Every goal looks exactly the same. Also, get some more showboating in ;)

personally i have always wanted a more personal view of the players, its feels like im a fan in the stadium when im playing not an actual player. Thats just me talking. And i agree with what he said above.

The problem is that the ball doesnt bounce around enough it follows the players...this has gotten better but still could use some imporvement. Also the chipping is awful...they might have made that better in 06 but im waitin for X360 to find that out. How about adding hight differences.....and weight....and that should make a difference when heading and what not. One more thing is that they dont ever use the squad update to let us download the latest transfers.

The best thing to tell him is to give up, as FIFA will never be better than PES/WE.
The graphics are terrible, gameplay is horrible and feel of the game is unrealistic in FIFA.

Thanks, have helped a lot there but keep them coming !
In my opinion Fifa has become more realistic this year. I agree with the fact all goals look the same but taking free kicks and corners arnt that easy at all and its easy to over hit them or under hit them which can happen a lot in real life.
I have a massive list of things to give him so hopefully the next Fifa will be miles better.

I agree make Fifa more like PES/WE and EA will be onto a winner. Bought Fifa 06 on xbox and thought it was atrociously bad (too many faults to name IMO) so I got a refund. Now I am patiently waiting for PES5.

I know nobody will agree with but I thought there was a huge improvment in FIFA this year, the one thing that I would suggest is defintely more skill and to make it easier to beat players with skill. :geek: (Almost forgot lol, personaly I found nothing wrong with the shooting this year.)

Apart from every goal you score is virtually the same. :brow
FIFA has millions of faults and is no where near PES5, which is superb. :p

I'm not sure really what other improvements I can suggest.
As has been mentioned, shooting just feels plain weird. It's like they're programmed to shoot in the same strange, robotic way.
It just doesn't play right, either. Running with the ball doesn't feel correct, either. Sorry I can't give more of an explanation why, but it just feels poor in comparison to the perfect running demonstrated in PES.

If we're going to go onto the subject of faults may I bring up the phenomenon of the disappearing fans in the new pro 5, a.k.a pro 4.5. And how come every goal in pro 5 (4.5) seems to be an absolute screamer and consecutive with the same korny dive from the keeper that has been the same ever since pro 2. Not to mention absolutly no improvement in graphics. :| :|

The crowd disappear sometimes to help reduce slowdown.

Put the camera to broadcasting and the fans appear all the time. I have already said, they couldn't have improved the graphics in my last post in this thread, (if you had cared to read it carefully).
At stop this crap of pes4.5 it is clearly a new game, as the gameplay is totally different, AND TO BE HONEST I WOULD RATHER PLAY PES1 than any of the crappy FIFA's including 2006.

Yup, same.
Some of the older PES games are still actually pretty good. It's just when you compare them to the newer ones that they don't appear as great.
In saying that, though, due to my current lack of PS2 (and therefore all PES games), I've been playing Winning Eleven 6 (Pro Evo 2) on my Gamecube a lot, and it's been really good. Still a very accomplished game.
PES5 will be better, though. 2nd December is when I finally get it. :)

I find it qutie amusing at the fact that you don't even have it and you are trying to compare to another game!! :D So your playing Pro Evo 2 at the moment? Trust me don't bother with the new one very little has changed.lol. Oh yeah and just for the record I wasn't actualy critising the old pro evos infact for there time, I agree that were classics but to say the least the "new" or in my opinon not so new one seems the same as every one before (in my opinon not like the improvment fifa this year). To name some things the same...... same freekicks, same graphics for fans, same keeper, same graphics for players ....

I don't own it, no, but did I ever say I haven't played it? ;)
Nah, I've got to get it, if only for online play. Even if not much has changed and I'm not able to get it online I'd probably still get it, because I just love PES games so much. Online would be incredible, though, as I could finally people that weren't the majority of the time not very good. :D
I'm a PES mentalist, and have had the previous 4 titles all from launch day. This is the first time I didn't get it on launch day. I suppose I'm getting it for the launch of the 360, though, so I can pretend to myself that I haven't lost my record yet. :D
Basically, similar or not, PES5 will be entering the house of AJ as soon as possible. :)

Have you got fifa?
AfroJoe
25/Oct/05, 09:27 PM
Nope. Not even played it either. Surprisingly.
Usually I get a lot of people I know buying the game and then being disappointed with it. No-one seems to have bought it this time around (all PESers, converted by me :D), so now I can't actually play it, to find out if the reviews are correct in saying it's much improved on the previous one.
I'll still never buy a FIFA game, though. Been Konami all my football-playing life (from ISS64 onwards), and I don't intend to change. Even if FIFA has greatly improved, to me it'll still be inferior.

You said the shooting is robotic? You haven't even play it and actualy if you had played the new one (and are not unconditionaly biased not naming names "cough" Deki..) you would probably find the shooting has greatly improved and that you are able to score a much wider varity of goals than in PES 5 "whispered" (4.5), but then again thats just my (only one persons) opinion. :)

I wasn't basing that statement on FIFA 2006. I was basing it on FIFA games in general, which up until (apparently) FIFA 2006 have had the worst shooting system ever. I know we're in the FIFA 2006 topic, but surely problems from the past should be noted as well, just in case they've not been solved.
I would like to see what they've done with the shooting to improve it, as I'm sure unless it has drastically improved, there is still room for improvement. As I mentioned, as well, there are plenty of other problems from previous FIFA games that have gone unsolved in the past, so there's got to be some from previous FIFAs that weren't worked on in the development of 2006.

Belive me I've got all them back to 2001 and there has been a massive overhaul with the shooting system unlike pro evo. And yes I agree with you the shooting before was poor but there has been a dramatic improvement. Oh and just so you know until this year I prefered pro evo! :)

Well Gamespot reviewed FIFA 06: Road To The World Cup and they gave it 6/10. Now for you PES lovers you probably are over the moon but I however am not. They gave FIFA 2006 on the current generation consoles 9/10 so I am now very concerned about getting this game. Gamespot seriously hindered my intentions of getting this game.

Reviews are not always right, There are games that I played and loved that got a bad score such as UFC:TAPOUT and there are game that got really good scores that I didnt like such as Burnout 3.
