If you were to buy extra controllers, would they be wireless, wired, or both ?
I think I want a wired controller, because next year when I get my computer, I will hopefully be able to use it on the 360, as well as the computer.

Wireless, it has to be!
The ability to throw your pad off the wall without fear of a wire getting caught sounds fantastic. :D

well im getting wireless so u wont trip on cables and the deal im getting coems with an extra wireless controller
Wireless! A dream come true :D
The dreams already come true for me, the Wavebird is honestly the best controller ever made.
I'll definitely be getting wireless, I don't know how the wires get so tangled with my Xbox controllers at the moment, but they are always really tangled up.
Wavebird pfft, nothing compared to the 360 OWNAGE controller!!!

Wireless.
I love my Wavebird controller on the Gamecube. If I'd bought 4 this time, things would have been so much tidier. :D I would have been a lot poorer, though, so I didn't.
Should be doing so this time around, though.

Definately wireless, but don't you need batteries for them?
AfroJoe
19/Oct/05, 04:59 PM
Yeah, but they can go for long periods of time without having to be replaced.
I think I've charged/replaced my Wavebird batteries about 4 times ever, and I've had the thing for well over a year. Used it a fair amount of well.
So all you have to do is buy 8 rechargable batteries and you're set for a couple of years at least. :D

I like the wireless but I don't want to have to pay even MORE money for batteries constantly and a play and charge kit. I already paid almost $500 for a console and game so I really don't want to buy this too. Plus there's an XBox live subscription and now we have to pay for extra content that used to be free on Xbox with the Marketplace.
Microsoft really wants to milk us gamers for all we're worth and they arent getting anything extra out of me. Are they going to make us pay for games we can play free on the PC like Bejewled and Poker over Xbox Arcade too? I honestly would not be surprised.
Looks like the only one with consumers still in mind is Nintendo.

I think its too early to know what there going to sell for free and what there going to charge. Im sure things like skins, avatars, trailers, demos and themes for free and then they will charge premium content such as new maps, cars and things like that.

It all better be free and marketplace better be used for selling user created content. A $50 subscription should be well enough to give us free content. With Xbox Live I got the Halo2 maps, new levels in Splinter Cell, planes for Crimson Skies and much more free with my subscription.

Ok, the battery idea has been thrown out the window.

Wireless, of course. I mean, where's the fun in throwing the controller out the window and failing just because some crappy wire holds it back? :D

Wireless controllers.......Because they always get tangled up and look ugly. Thing is you might lose them like the TV remote, lol. I think Microsoft should have put a "page" thing like most home phones...so you don't lose itand if you do, it will beep until you press the X button.

You can avoid this problem by buying a play and charge kit.

First I would have said wired (as I'm so used to it) but now I've come around to the wireless way of thinking so wireless for me. Getting lazier in my old age.

I would definitely recommend the wireless option here as I've found it to be a much better gaming experience. It feels a lot better without a wire and it reacts just as well as a wired pad IMO. Charge and play kit recommended.

Definatley get the Charge and Play kit or a seperate battery recharger as the batteries tend to run low after around 15 hours of playing, also, if you have got the wireless pad, I recommend turning it off when you leave the room for something, you can do this by holding the X in the middle for about 3 seconds, and instead of selecting the option to turn the Xbox off turn off the controller until you come back.

Definately Wireless for me. Wires always annoy me. Especially the original Xbox ones with the connector wire in the middle. because everytime i'd go a little to far away it would rip out ant i'd lose my fight againt the boss of Dead or alive 3 and it would always happen when im fighting to the boss so damn wires in my opinion
i will buy a wired one because then i can use it on my pc, maybe two, NES, SNES and GAMEBOY emulators are fun to play.

Yeah, they're much better.
The one minor problem, though, is that it only seems to have about half the battery life my Gamecube Wavebird had.
Meh, I've got rechargeables now, so that doesn't matter any more. :D

Well.....I guess I changed my mind and bought the wireless.
I was at EB, and started thinking about what computer gamesI would use the wired controller on, and decided that I don't have many games it would even work for and wireless is a lot more convinient.
