Will Halo 2 be re-released on the 360?

I have heard that Halo 2 will be re-released for the Lauch of the 360. Although it will have enhanced grahpics, new multiplayer maps and a few other additional extras. Just wondering if anyone else had heard of this, because I don't think they will have Halo 3 read for the release of the 360.

Halo 3 wont be released in time for launch. Halo 3 will be launched sometime next year, most likely around the same time as Sony are launching the PS3. Hopefully, from Microsoft's point of view, this will direct a few attentions to the Xbox 360 as opposed to the PS3.

Not heard anything about a Halo 2 re-release, although, considering the Xbox 360 will be backwards compatible on some games, I don't think there would be any point in re-releasing a game that is already available to use on the 360.

I execpt Halo 3 to be released when the PS3 comes out as well to get people buying more Xbox 360's rather than PS3's. I am pretty sure the 360 will outsell the PS3 by loads. I hope it does anyway :)

I can see a lot of people who own the Xbox 360, to buy the PS3 as well. I know their will at least be one of each in our household this time next year.

You'll be able to play Halo 2 on the new Xbox, you'll need to be online to download the patch to play it however. All new Xbox 1 games will come with the patch installed.

I just thought that Halo had a lot of fuss about it for being such a one dimensional game. Yes there is a co-op mode and some wicked multiplayer but not my cup of tea either.

Odd thought I quite like the Call of Duty series, but I think for a FPS to be enjoyed it has to be played with a mouse and keyboard. Because you don't aim a gun with an anolog stick!

Only FPS I ever liked was N64's Goldeneye (who didnt like it?) and PS2's Timesplitters 1

They are the only ones I was ever good at. I've seen people who can snipe you at 500 feet in the dark, whilst sleeping. Im too prone to shoot the body, where they just aim for my head.

I could only get into the FPS's that had some type of plot.

A very underrated one was Deus Ex, I don't even know anyone who played it. It was good.

Timesplitters was class, in fact you liked both games that were made by the same people? Hmmm maybe you also like Perfect Dark? :)

Perfect Dark I played on for about 20 hours with a mate. Closest thing to Goldeneye since. But then again, unsurprising as its built on pretty much the same engine and style of play.

I own Deus Ex: Invisible War, played it for about 20-30 minutes overall. But like I said, Im not a huge FPS gamer, I also have Rainbow Six 3, and on Live, I usually get sniped in the first attack wave :D

It would be stupid for Bungie to release an improved Halo 2 for the 360. People would probably buy it nonetheless -- after all, it is Halo -- but why waste the time improving when they should be working on Halo 3?

As for Halo 3 coming out when the PS3 is released -- don't count on it. Halo 2 took several years to produce, and the PS3 is expected to be released next year. That's too small of a time frame for Bungie to produce a nice, quality Halo game for a next-gen system, which I'm sure takes a bit more time to develop for than the original Xbox.

As much as I want Halo 3 as you do -- I'd rather wait to play an awesome piece of quality game craftsmanship than an untasteful pile of dung.

No rerelease for sure.

And Bungie stated that Billy boy doesn't make the launch date for Halo 3. Indicating that the game probably won't compete with the PS3 for shelf room.

I play Halo 2 on Live daily, and it's awesome, the campaign well isn't. But I highly doubt we will see a re-release with any improvements.

Heh, yup. I'm not a huge FPS fan, personally, but if I did have to pick my favourites, it would easily by Goldeneye, then Perfect Dark, then TimeSplitters: Future Perfect.

All (pretty much) made by Rare, seeing as Free Radical basically is Rare minus some of the rubbish people. :D

Yah, the Halo 2 Campaign was awful, The Arbiter side pissed me off, battling in that station thing and trying to get to the top to cut the supports.

I gave up when playing as MC at the waterfall bit (supposedly where the tiny gold MC is)

Online was great though :)

Can't wait to play Halo on 360, i've got it loading Silent Cartographer now. (Y)

Yes HALO campaign was good but after the first couple levels it started to get repetitive it was the same purple ship over and over again im not saying it wasnt good it was awesome I just feel haol 2 campaigne had more variety.

Halo2 Campaign was a tad wet compared to the original... I don't think anything has truly beaten Halo yet for offline madness and beauty.

Halo2 just kinda ended and as much as I know it was to leave it open for more to come - it was a disappointment and well not hard to complete.

Lets hope if there is a H3 that it does the job.
